This would be an extremely valuable addition to Xero Tax.
Comparison reports are already available for Income Tax Returns and are a key review tool for identifying year-on-year changes, unusual movements and potential errors before lodgement.
FBT returns involve many of the same review risks, yet there is currently no comparison report available. Adding this functionality would improve review efficiency, increase accuracy and help practitioners identify changes in fringe benefits, employee numbers and taxable values from prior years.
I strongly support this enhancement and would encourage Xero to prioritise its development!!

This is a no brainer - we have it for income tax, we should get it for FBT too!

Yes, would love the comparative function to be on FBT returns and not just ITRS. Also need comparative on the schedules on ITRS too!

Australian users would benefit from a shortcut button for FBT year (1/4/20xx-31/3/20xx) in "profit&loss", "Account transactions", or other FBT related reports. Maybe right after "This financial year" we could have a "This FBT year" button? It would be even better to make reporting period shortcuts customisable.
