Client Insights - Monthly Transaction count
For accountants and bookeepers who charge fees based on number of transaction lines being recorded it will be great if a simple report can indicate the number / count of transactions recorded by each Source in a given period.
This will also be helpful for new accountants and book keeper who are sourcing for clients who are using Xero to share that details so a smart quotation can be provided

Would be great to see report for all clients on number of transactions per month over a 12 month period - can monitor levels of bookkeeping required and update pricing more easily - see which clients have a high amount of transactions, monitor activity levels

I agree with other Xero users, this facility would be a great tool and I'm not sure why anybody would want a report showing the number of lines on the report instead of the number of actual transactions.

I agree, that the count funtion does not work with the account transactions report - you are counting the headings and totals so inflating the number of transactions

Can I add my whole hearted support to this request, this would be a great report to have not just on the client side but also as an accountant in practice looking at how best to budget staff time or jobs

The count function in Xero's Account Transaction Report is still broken. The menu bar indicated by Kelly seems to count all rows, including transactions, headings and totals. So for one row of transactions, Xero counts the report as four (as per the screenshot). An important fix is needed here so it only counts transactions.
