TPAR - Ability to add more than 12 rules
TPAR - Ability to add more than 12 rules. Some clients like to separate out each type of subcontractor they have on the books and end up with a lot more than 12.
Hi everyone, thanks for all the engagement so far. We're just popping in to refresh this idea's status.
We understand the ask to add more than 12 TPAR rules could better support businesses with more complex reporting requirements.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this is something you'd like to see, please keep voting and share how increasing the rule limit would improve your TPAR workflow.

We are experiencing difficulties with the current limitation in the “Set Up Rules” section for the Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR).
At present, the “Add Rule” area only allows up to 12 columns, which is not sufficient for businesses like ours that manage a large number of contractor accounts across different jobs. We currently have around 42 contractor accounts, and this number is expected to continue growing.
Many of our suppliers provide both materials and labour services depending on the job, which means we need to account for them differently under the TPAR rules. Due to the current restriction, we are required to create multiple separate rules, making the process increasingly difficult to manage.
Could you please look into whether it is possible to increase the number of columns available in the rules section or remove the restriction of only 12 altogether? This enhancement would greatly improve usability for businesses managing a high volume of contractor accounts.

Have only just realised there is a limit on the accounts - new client I finally convinced to convert to Xero has up to 25 accounts. The Contact Group is not going to work as some of the contacts are subcontractors as well as materials or repairs and maintenance.
Please update TPAR so more rules can be added.
