  1. Dates are changing to 1 Jan 1970 - I'm not sure if it's overridden other data or note, but it won't update.

    Hiya Glennis, happy to share that our product team jumped on this and have just released a fix. 😊

    Blank date fields on a Client record will now remain blank, and those that were previously defaulting to '1 July 1970' will be reverted and show as blank too. Thank you for sharing with us about this. 🙏

  2. Client Codes - Beware

    We are finding client codes are disappearing on clients when updating a piece of information and saving. This is a big problem.

    Hi team, I wanted to return to confirm that we have released a fix for the issue that was causing client codes to not appear when adding or editing these in the client record. This field has been renamed 'Client reference code' and any changes that you make to this field will be reflected properly. Thanks

  3. Balance date used to not be mandatory. I usually left it blank.

    Now, when I create a client.. Xero automatically puts 31 January in the Balance date field and I can't remove it.

    Dumb as.

    Hey Sam, thanks to our valued users (such as yourself) bringing this to our attention so swiftly, we are happy to say that the Balance date now be blank by default. We appreciate the time taken to bring these Ideas to us and we are only able to make these changes because of our customers input.

  4. We are unable to edit and save any details in the clients' Tax Tab in new beta XPM. We need to be able to do this ASAP.

    Hi Katie, thanks for raising this with us in the practice experience beta forum. Our team have been working quickly to resolve issue and I'm pleased to share that this should be fixed so you can now edit and save details in the clients Tax tab. 🙂

  5. Need to be able to edit client bank account details. Receiveing an error when editing or trying to remove them from the client record is prone to causing mistakes in returns.

    Thanks for your feedback and raising this with us here, Tina. I want to confirm that our product team have now made a change to resolve the issue with errors practice experience beta users were receiving when trying to edit client bank account details. You should find these working for you properly now. 🙂

  6. Previously when you looked at a client Group you could see all the associated tax returns with the whole group.
    This is useful for review and billing, and understanding the status of the group.

    Hi Sarah, please to update you that the team have now released a change and now you'll be able to view tax returns at the group level 😊Again, thanks for engaging with us about this here.

  7. We need the ability to add multiple email addresses for a client. Not extra Contacts, but the main email address for a client. Currently you can only enter one email address, this is the address that tax payment letters (for example) are automatically sent to. However, some clients want these to go to more than one address. We have to keep a separate spread sheet and our Tax administrator needs to manually send tax payment letters to those clients.
    Something similar to Xero Blue, where you can add an extra email address for invoices and statements to be sent to,…

    Hi team, we thoroughly appreciate the support received in community on this idea overtime.

    I am pleased to share that the new unified client experience has been released to all practices, that includes the ability to add multiple addresses for a client.

    Xero Partner Hub is with a limited group of users atm, and will be rolling out to everyone in 2026.

    As mentioned in my last update - knowing that there is also a great interest in being able to set a purpose for each email added we have created a new idea to continue to explore as we keep developing the experience. We will be sure to update you of any progress around this there.

    Hi team, thank you for everyone's engagement and support in this idea. With the new unified client experience now live to all practices we are pleased to return and move this idea to completed.

    As mentioned in my previous update, with the new experience we have incorporated additional detail fields such as Date of Death for Individual / Sole Trader business structures.😊
