Files - Add a Search option

It would be great if we could search in the files that are attached in the file library. Sometimes you need to find something that was attached a long time ago or by someone else and if you could enter a keyword search it would save trawling through them page by page.

    Please can you add a search function for File Library?

    It would save having to rename every single uploaded document or invoice in the File Library in case it needs to be found at a later date.

    It would be very helpful if a search function could be added within the Files/Archive section in Xero. When trying to locate a specific purchase order, I often need to manually check multiple folders if I am unsure where the document was saved. A search feature would significantly improve efficiency and make document retrieval much quicker.

    It would be really useful to be able to Search on documents in Xero Files.

    Attaching via the transaction from the list in the inbox is not effective. Opening the files and renaming them to help with identification only goes so far.

    Please sneak a wee search field in the header of the files folders.

    An interim could be to "sort by" last updated date. I could go in and identify a heap of files, rename them and then go and find the transactions and only have to scroll through the recently edited.

    Since Xero insists on the dumpster fire that is the new Files system, it seems like the perfect opportunity to include a search function if you're going to insist that Every. Single. File. is included in the archive. So that we can easily find things amongst a giant list...

    But alas, here Xero is again, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...

    It would be helpful to have a way to tag files with searchable keywords that can be searched globally. Example, if i want my accountant to be alerted to particular set of transactions or one transaction , if can add a seaarchable keyword in the reference or notes field that would be appreciated.

    The golbal Xero search bar doesn't seem to find files when searching for terms included in filenames, which makes the ablility to search and filter from the list of files even more crucial. It's lack prevents users from making use of the file library's full potential.
    With integrations like Hubdock that can bring in hundreds of files, it's inevitable files will get buried in the "All Archived" list.

    Filter functionality should be included with search, so the user can narrow down results e.g exclude files attached to Bills

    PLEASE add a search function in the files library so I can find my emailed invoices much faster, this option is a no brainer, but it looks like the requests are going unheard. I can't imagine it would be that big of a job to include, yet it would cut down a lot of time for users.

    I'm unsure if this idea already covers this - ability to search the library when accessing the library to attach a file to a record when processing the record. Example is a supplier credit note. As emailing to Xero bills is only for invoices currently, I email credit notes to Xero Files then pick up them up during credit note entry. In the library there are loads of files from emailing bills, including images from signatures. Scrolling to find the credit note I need is cumbersome.

    PLEASE add a search function to Files. A couple of clients save absolutely everything (which is super handy), but when scrolling through screeds and screeds of documents to hunt for one document, means I can't see it for looking. If I could just type the key word that I know would bring it up instantly, it would save my time and my eyes from going crosseyed.
    PLEASE do it! I am begging you!

    I would love this. I use this in MYOB all the time and it is so frustrating that it is not a feature in Xero

    I've just returned from holiday and have uploaded over 200 files but searching for them is a nightmare.
    I have been using the Find function on the page which is partly successful but a proper function on the page would be beneficial

    Please add this! Smallest thing, that would make such a difference for us and our accountants
