Bank Feed - Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)
For Xero to expand their bank feed connections to develop a feed that supports Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)
Hi team, we appreciate the growing interest this idea's gaining and want you to know our product teams are very attuned to our customers desire for a bank feed for CAF bank.
We're continuing to work closely with our third party integrators to make more bank feeds available via open banking. A feed for CAF is high on our agenda, however we're reliant on third party integrators to support this integration in order for us to deliver this for you all.
I want to assure you we're pushing for it's integration, but we cannot commit or confirm a timeline for this work to be undertaken.
As soon as there's progress to share we'll happily provide further updates for you all.

Not having a bank feed for CAF bank has a time and therefore a financial cost, taking vital funds away from our cause. This isnt a nice to have it is essential.

Agree with the comment below our church ( a large registered charity ) is just implementing Xero and has bank accounts with CAF bank . A bank feed would save so much time . Please implement as soon as possible
Many UK charities use CAF bank and a bank feed may mean many more charities implement Xero - a clear marketing opportunity for Xero !

Our Church uses Xero and CAF Bank. An automate feed form CAF Bank into Xero would be most useful and would save much time.
Please implement as soon as possible. -

We have wanted to integrate CAF bank and Xero for the last two years as this is critical to managing our accounts as we are all voluntary and have to do this in our spare time. Manual uploading of bank statements and transactions takes hours - integrating CAF and Xero would save us hours and hours, so please implement an integration for CAF bank ASAP so that we can move away from manual uploading and be much more efficient. If this is not done soon, we will have to move to an alternative software that is already integrated with CAF bank.

Please implement an integration for CAF bank ASAP so that we can move away from manual uploading. This would be massively helpful to us and many other charities that bank with CAF.

Please let CAF Bank join Xero so I can upload my bank statements to get me started with Xero. We are looking to change our software provider in January but as Xero isn't with CAF yet this is severely hindering things. Already stuck as the two organizations can't merge their info.

As a social housing provider we receive income from multiple residents on different dates during the month depending on their individual set up.
As volunteer trustees managing this, it would add huge value to our existing income management process to not have to manually import these transactions each week.

As a bookkeeper its extremely difficult when you don't offer bank feeds. It means I either have to constantly chase clients for csv files which I then have to manually process, or they have to give me bank access.
It's much harder to sell Xero to clients because of this -

As the Account Administrator for Sussex Gospel Partnership it takes a significant amount of time to format the CSV file to upload onto Xero. I previously worked for an organisation that banked with Barclays and it was a doddle to upload the bank feed.
Really appreciate you all for considering this.

It is difficult for us to have to download all our feeds across several accounts. It would save us time and money, as a charity this is very important!

Improving access to Xero for CAF will significantly reduce load and potential errors in the financial management processes for our charity

We use Wise, PayPal and our main account is CAF. The amount of extra work we have to do for CAF because there isn't a direct interface is huge. If CAF are ready, it seems crazy to me that Xero would be the party unable to accept the feed. Charities are facing really hard times at the moment. Please do what you can to ease this bit of extra admin, at least! Thank you!

Being able to download CAF bank transactions into Xero would make the most enormous difference to our charity. It would save so much time. Time that could be used much more effectively else where. The current method of importing transactions into Xero is painful, slow and it's easy to make mistakes.
Please can Xero approve automatic downloads from CAF ASAP.

Definitely long overdue and required, both for small charities that are volunteer run and large ones that need to processes a large volume of transactions each month.

It is currently a chore to input bank transactions into xero for reconciliation. Before the caf upgrade this was easy. Please reinstate the option

As an almshouse charity led by volunteer trustees, it would save us a lot of valuable time to be able to use an automatic feed between our two CAF accounts and Xero.
Looking at the number of comments on this petition, a large and diverse number of charities (Xero customers) will benefit from the systems becoming more integrated – so I hope Xero will see the commercial sense in making this change in the near future. Thank you.

If this cannot be completed by the end of March 2026, we will have no option but to transition to QuickBooks for the new charity financial year.
I have requested this several times, but we have not yet received a response or an expected timeline.

A live feed would make reconciliations so much more straightforward. Yes CAF have introduced QFX file types, but this hasn't worked for me (creating a file in $ as default rather than £), but at the same time CAF also removed OFX file types, which did work. I'm now having to download CFX and manually set up an import file each time I reconcile.
The latest CAF email update asks us users to lobby for Xero to sort this out, so please Xero - do your bit asap. Thanks.
