Bank Feed - Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)
For Xero to expand their bank feed connections to develop a feed that supports Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)
Hi team, we appreciate the growing interest this idea's gaining and want you to know our product teams are very attuned to our customers desire for a bank feed for CAF bank.
We're continuing to work closely with our third party integrators to make more bank feeds available via open banking. A feed for CAF is high on our agenda, however we're reliant on third party integrators to support this integration in order for us to deliver this for you all.
I want to assure you we're pushing for it's integration, but we cannot commit or confirm a timeline for this work to be undertaken.
As soon as there's progress to share we'll happily provide further updates for you all.

As the Account Administrator for Sussex Gospel Partnership it takes a significant amount of time to format the CSV file to upload onto Xero. I previously worked for an organisation that banked with Barclays and it was a doddle to upload the bank feed.
Really appreciate you all for considering this.

It is difficult for us to have to download all our feeds across several accounts. It would save us time and money, as a charity this is very important!

Improving access to Xero for CAF will significantly reduce load and potential errors in the financial management processes for our charity

We use Wise, PayPal and our main account is CAF. The amount of extra work we have to do for CAF because there isn't a direct interface is huge. If CAF are ready, it seems crazy to me that Xero would be the party unable to accept the feed. Charities are facing really hard times at the moment. Please do what you can to ease this bit of extra admin, at least! Thank you!

Being able to download CAF bank transactions into Xero would make the most enormous difference to our charity. It would save so much time. Time that could be used much more effectively else where. The current method of importing transactions into Xero is painful, slow and it's easy to make mistakes.
Please can Xero approve automatic downloads from CAF ASAP.

Definitely long overdue and required, both for small charities that are volunteer run and large ones that need to processes a large volume of transactions each month.

We(Cutteslowe & District Community Centre) are very keen to advocate CAF to be automatically linked to Xero software.

It is currently a chore to input bank transactions into xero for reconciliation. Before the caf upgrade this was easy. Please reinstate the option

As an almshouse charity led by volunteer trustees, it would save us a lot of valuable time to be able to use an automatic feed between our two CAF accounts and Xero.
Looking at the number of comments on this petition, a large and diverse number of charities (Xero customers) will benefit from the systems becoming more integrated – so I hope Xero will see the commercial sense in making this change in the near future. Thank you.

If this cannot be completed by the end of March 2026, we will have no option but to transition to QuickBooks for the new charity financial year.
I have requested this several times, but we have not yet received a response or an expected timeline.

A live feed would make reconciliations so much more straightforward. Yes CAF have introduced QFX file types, but this hasn't worked for me (creating a file in $ as default rather than £), but at the same time CAF also removed OFX file types, which did work. I'm now having to download CFX and manually set up an import file each time I reconcile.
The latest CAF email update asks us users to lobby for Xero to sort this out, so please Xero - do your bit asap. Thanks.

The silence from Xero is becoming increasingly untenable. As many users have already expressed, it should not take this long for Xero to truly acknowledge that the demand for this bank feed is both substantial and fully justified.
Whoever is responsible for customer relations now needs to show the basic courtesy of providing a meaningful response, not another generic, copy-and-paste statement of the kind repeatedly issued in the past - last one was July this year!! We expect a reply that clearly sets out a tangible plan or commitment toward implementing this functionality.
If Xero is unable or unwilling to do that, then the least we deserve is a straightforward explanation as to why. A continued lack of engagement is not a viable customer-service strategy, and it reflects poorly on Xero’s understanding of the businesses and organisations that rely on its platform

This would save our Charity valuable time. We are a small charity, so every penny counts.

This really would help us eliminate upload errors and reconciling to our actual bank balance without room for discrepancies. We have quite a lot of transactions and having a live link would save masses of time. We have zero core funding so every second of my finance teams time is precious

A direct feed would be a huge boost to our charity meaning that more time could spent on supporting our mission, and make us more likely to continue using both CAF and Xero.

Providing a direct bank feed from CAF bank account would save a lot of time and mean that charities always had up-to-date financial data in their Xero accounts.

We are a charity and it would speed up our processes and help us save costs if the feed was automatic

I wonder how many votes and requests might be needed for this to be escalated? How often does Xero look at this ideas and comments page? What needs to happen for this to be agreed to be done? once agreed how long might it take? the points raised by everyone here are very real and we are all charities that are struggling because of this. Please Xero do give us an update. It would be so very hugely appreciated.

CAF Bank is used by a lot of small charities, so adding an automatic bank feed will be helping those charities, which I am sure fits with the values of Xero.
