I am not sure why Xero have not responded to this thread directly, but this the response I had from Xero support, which I think explains why there are no bank feeds and unfortunately why it is likely that there will never be a bank feed with CAF.

Regarding CAF Bank, Xero doesn't currently have a bank feed available for them. In the UK, Xero supports direct API connections provided via Open Banking. CAF Bank offers connection through Modified Customer Interface (MCI), which is less secure and convenient than a direct API connection. The Financial Conduct Authority has proposed the mandatory use of API connections for banks and is planning to phase out MCI in the future. Xero doesn't have any plans to connect to banks that use MCI, as our preference is to use a direct API connection as it provides additional security.

This is a real priority to save us time. Having to upload the information really slows us down and uses up valuable Trustee time. Please push the "third party integrators" (who are they), to move this forward quickly.

A real priority for our church accounts. Integrated online banking would make life much easier for all concerned. The church has recently taken on a food pantry for the benefit of the local community. This means additional work undertaken by volunteer staff. Online banking would make life so much easier.

For our charity a CAF bank feed for Xero would significantly reduce time and cost for our finance team.

Pease can I get an update on the integration between Xero and CAF Bank I am a Finance Manager for a charity and we now use Xero as our accounting software and I was shocked to discover that there is no integration with CAF Bank, this is essential and been long waited for - please can you advise when this will become available, thanks

Can we have an update on progress please Xero? This is a critical update for all charities using Xero which would enable valuable resources to be used in other areas.

This feature would be incredibly valuable to us as a small charity, saving unnecessary administration time that could be spent on other things. We recently switched to using Xero, and were disappointed to learn that this integration is not possible.

Please integrate with CAF Bank as soon as possible. CAF Bank users had hoped this would happen at the last CAF Bank update, but it did not. I agree with comments below. I have to download a statement CSV and reformat to enter into XERO, this is laborious and open to errors. (Treasurer, Lewes Priory Trust, with Xero supplied by accountants).

Integrating with CAF would be a hugely valuable addition for those of us working with charities. At the moment, the lack of integration creates unnecessary manual work, increases the risk of errors, and makes reconciliation more time-consuming than it needs to be.

A direct feed or integration with CAF accounts would streamline processes significantly, improve accuracy, and save considerable time for both accountants and organisations.

It would also remove a key barrier for charities considering moving to Xero. Many are keen to adopt more efficient systems, but without this functionality, the transition can feel impractical.

This integration would not only enhance the user experience for existing clients but also make Xero a far more attractive option within the charity sector.

This feels like a key opportunity for Xero to better support the charity sector, and given the potential to improve efficiency and attract more charity clients, I’d strongly encourage it to be prioritised.

Just following up my comment from a month ago when we first joined CAF bank. A Bank feed from CAF bank into Xero is very important to us.
Please could Xero provide an update?

This integration would be extremely valuable to our charity. We are a small finance team and this would speed up many tasks currently done manually and reduce the risk of errors.

Enabling a bank feed from CAF Bank is critical to accurate bookkeeping and accounting. As a new, start up charity, this is vital to us to support accurate record keeping, monitor our cashflow and report accurately to our Trustees. There will also be a cost saving to us in reduced bookkeeping fees if Xero has a bank feed to CAF Bank.
