Feature request: option to change default currency filter in Bank Reconciliation
Hello Xero team,
I’d like to submit a feature request regarding the Bank Reconciliation → Find & Match workflow for multi-currency transactions.
When reconciling a bank transaction, Xero defaults to filtering matches to the same currency as the bank account. In cases where the transaction relates to an invoice or bill in a different currency, the user has to manually untick the “same currency only” filter each time.
For users who regularly work with multi-currency transactions, this becomes a repetitive step and an easy thing to miss.
Feature request:
Please consider adding a user-level or organisation-level setting that allows the default behaviour to be changed, for example:
Always show all currencies by default in Find & Match, or
Remember the user’s last selection for the currency filter, or
A simple toggle in settings such as “Default to same-currency matches only: On / Off”.
This would preserve the current default behaviour for most users, while giving multi-currency users a more efficient and less error-prone workflow.
