  1. BNZ do not provide receivers with online access to accounts. Xero only allow BNZ bank feeds to be updated online. Receiving timely access to transactions is very important but BNZ & Xero have decided to cease this feature and not provide a solution for all customers.

  2. Transactions imported by Yodlee Bank Feed do not display in the chronological order that they occur in my online banking portal or bank statements.

As I have a lot of bank transactions on any given day, this makes it time consuming to do any kind of reconciliation between by online bank account and my bank feed import as I have to match each transaction up in the different orders they appear.

This is a regular occurrence as Yodlee sometimes imports transactions part way through a day and I have to work out where I got up to processing these transactions…

  4. We have two accounts (bank & credit card) from the same institution. For bank feeds, please allow multiple logins from the same institution.

Once we login for a bank feed on one of the accounts, we can't set up the bank feed for the other account. It just asks us to choose the already logged in account.

    This is documented here:
    https://central.xero.com/s/question/0D51N000055543jSAA/how-do-i-connect-two-accounts-from-the-same-bank-that-have-different-logins

I also reached out to support. They said "a Xero user can only use one set of credentials (per bank) in a Xero organisation. We recommend that you ask another Xero user to login and activate the feed…

Hi team, thanks for sharing this idea and for the detailed explanation of how this affects your workflow. We understand that it's common for a business to hold multiple accounts with different login credentials at the same bank.

Currently, Xero's architecture is built to link one set of banking credentials per user in an organisation. While we'll keep this idea open to monitor interest from the community, we want to be transparent that we don't have any immediate plans to make changes in this area.

The recommended solution is to have another user in your Xero organisation connect the bank feed using the alternative credentials.

If you would prefer not to have another person involved, you can add yourself as a user with an alternative email address and connect the second feed that way. It is free to add extra users to a Xero organisation, so this will not affect…

Thanks for sharing your feedback and votes for adding Westpac foreign currency account feeds, community.

While a direct feed isn't currently available for these accounts, you can still keep up-to-date in Xero by manually importing your transactions.

Just to give you a bit of insight into how these feeds are built – we rely on our banking partners to make specific account types available to us. The best way to get this on Westpac's radar is for them to hear directly from you, so we encourage you to reach out to them and request support for foreign currency account bank feeds.

For this reason, we're unable to say if or when feeds might be available for these accounts, but we'll continue to keep an eye on the support for this idea, and let you know if there are any changes in this area.

  6. Bank Feed - During month-end we have more than 250 lines to import per day for the wages. The import function on Xero is for less than that per day, so we have to do some lines manually.. Will you please increase the import function on the lines per day?

  7. We have just changed a lot of our clients over from MYOB where we could get supplier account numbers, IRD numbers etc in the bank feed details, and could then set bank rules for them based on the supplier account number or IRD no & tax type etc.

With many transactions Xero gives us a lot less information. Often the supplier account number is missing, or IRD tax type & IRD number are missing - along with many other details. This makes using bank rules impossible for many transactions, and takes a lot longer to reconcile manually as we have…

  10. As a retail company with many hundreds of transactions each day it is a massive task to properly account for VAT. All our products are VATable inside the UK but we receive many orders from outside the UK which are non-VATable, or from other EU countries where we must charge a different VAT rate for our IOSS return.

PayPal holds details of the VAT that was collected as part of the transaction, but as Xero imports all these hundreds of transactions from PayPal it currently does not import those VAT details. That means we have to look at our other…

  11. the discussion tab in bank reconciliation is a wonderful tool to communicate issues encountered in doing bank reconciliations. What would make it better would be if there is an option to notify specific users when a new entry or response has been entered in the tab. This would increase productivity for service providers and allow their clients to respond quicker to queries from their service provider

Hi everyone, it's helpful to know that having bank feeds available for banks based in Switzerland is important to you.

You can view a full list of direct bank feeds available in your region here. As some of you have noted, if your bank does not currently have a feed available, the best option for now is to manually import your bank statements into Xero. This will help you keep your accounts up-to-date. You can find instructions on how to do this in our Xero Central article here: Import a bank statement.

Another way you can help is by letting your specific banks know that you’d like to see them integrate with Xero. We've found that banks are more likely to prioritise building a feed when they hear directly from their own customers. They can get in touch with our team to start the process here: Register your

  14. Bank feeds from Bendigo Bank, and I presume all other OSKO payments.is being fed into the reference field. It concatenates the description, payee and reference field.
The problem is the field is now too short with new OSKO payment descriptions, so the reference field is often dropped off making some transactions difficult to match. A simple solution is to make this field longer.

Hi everyone, thank you for your votes and comments on this idea, and our apologies for the delay in providing an update.

For context, the issue is with how data is supplied to us from the bank. For direct feeds, the information you see in Xero, including the format of the reference field, is provided directly by the financial institution. We are not able to control how this information is formatted and sent to Xero.

For those of you experiencing this with Bendigo Bank, we recommend contacting the bank directly to request that they make changes to the way this OSKO payment data is provided on their feed.

In the meantime, we will leave this idea open to continue tracking support on this.

  15. There are a lot of businesses in The Philippines that would benefit from bank feeds. Even if you cover BPI, BDO and Union Bank I’m sure they would fund the development costs.

This combined with BIR accreditation would see XERO as the leading accounting product in a country of over 110 million people.

Are there specific banks you're connected to and would like to see a feed developed for? It'd be good to get this detail that we can share with our product teams.

Also to help community members understand exactly what they're supporting, as well as share these back internally with our teams it's best to keep one idea per thread - I've updated the idea here for Bank Feeds for Philippines and we can make this even clearer if you confirm which banks.

For reporting and BIR compliance I see another user has started an idea across here you can also support.🙂

Hi everyone, we understand that it's not ideal when the one person who set up a bank feed is away, causing delays to your reconciliation.

This is a tricky one, and the limitation you're experiencing is due to how certain bank feeds work, when supplied via our third party provider, Yodlee. These feeds are tied to an individual's online banking login credentials. When a bank requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) – like security questions or a one-time code – only the user who originally set up the feed can provide those details to refresh it. This is a security measure required by the bank, not by Xero, and you can read more about this here.

As noted by others here, one option is to have another user deactivate and then reactivate the feed with their own login details. A different approach could be for the bank account holder to arrange…

  17. Can the bank feed expiry date be shown on the dashboard or perhaps in the bank account screen rectangle for each account. It is a frustrating task to have to repeatedly contact clients to update this .... and worse they tend to blame Xero for the functionality rather than GDPR

Thanks for showing your interest through product ideas. It'd be good to get more understanding of what seeing the expiry date of your bank feed on the dashboard would help you achieve? And, how you feel this will benefit your workflow.
