Bills - Automatically calculate Unit Price from a Quantity and Line Total
I have a bill to enter from a supplier with around 40 line items.
The supplier does not list unit prices on their invoice, so i do not have accurate unit prices to enter for each line item to match the line item total.
This means i have to calculate and enter each line item unit price individually in order to match each line item total.
If i could enter the line item total and qty, with xero automatically calculate/enter the unit price, this will make entry of these bills significantly quicker.

It would be useful to allow entering quantity and total, with the unit price calculated automatically, as an alternative to the current unit price × quantity.
This would help when bills have rounded totals/ discounted unit prices. Right now, I must manually divide the total by the quantity to get a unit price, and rounding issues (if any) will only show up after all lines are entered and the total doesn’t match to that of the bill.
This would require unlocking the total field for input and calculating unit price = total / quantity. To prevent mistakes, the system should block the bills submission if a line’s quantity, unit price, and total don’t match up correctly.

Auto populate all unit lines/purchased items from a bill into Xero rather than just the total.

I deal with the farming community who still hadwrite their statements with dated entries. Eg Fuel.
I need to get a caclulator for EVERY entry and calculate dolars per litre. Cannot add just the number one in the quantity column as I need to report to the ATO for deisel fuel rebate each BAS. The caclulator often does not get the total correct as the rounding is different and my accounts do not add up correctly. With MYOB I was able to wipe the price per unit, insert the total amount and it would calculate the price per litre from the quantity I had entered.
This is a situation that is very backward from MYOB compared to other areas bering very forward.

I wish this had more than 2 votes, I hate having to drag out a calculator as often as I do in the modern day and age.
