    I need to run a transaction report to show expenses that have been coded to a project, amount exc of GST and the GST , a quick check to my budget, the reports in projects have no way of checking if GST has been applied

    I need this to make sure all bills before being paid have had a project allocated, it would save a lot of time as the current method of opening a project then looking for bills that have not been added...it's currently a clunky method

    Hi everyone, while our team considered solutions in this space with other pieces of work planned there is no current development planned for adding a notes or description field within Projects at this time. 

    For now, as you may be aware you can add notes to the History and notes of the individual transactions within a project, or alternatively on the Contacts record. 

    We're continuing to watch this space and will share if there is any progress.

    This would be a great function as I have to keep going through my open projects and work what invoices and expenses are still outstanding. I would like to record what action/follow up is need before I can close project

    Projects needs to generate reports in multi-currency, we use Projects and have activity that requires the reports to generate in that currency as we do not convert to AUD

    Hi team, work for requesting and accept deposit payments has progressed well. We're now just entering the stage of rolling out a solution powered by Stripe to a limited group of users.

    As mentioned in my last update - we're extremely grateful to our community here, who have shared their interest and provided feedback on how deposits in invoicing would meet your needs. We'd love to hear your feedback on our developments for this feature early and have included anyone that has voted on this idea and is connected to Stripe in the first group rollout - You'll receive a banner in your organisation on how to make use of this soon.

    I'll share more again here as the rollout widens. Thanks!

    Hi everyone, thanks for your continued engagement and support for the idea of making tracking categories mandatory in Xero. We really appreciate you sharing your insights on the benefits that adding this feature would bring to your financial reporting and month-end processes.

    Right now, you could use find and recode to assign a tracking option to any transaction lines that are currently unassigned. 

    Regarding the future of this idea, we've carefully reviewed all your feedback and the critical need you've expressed for this feature. While we understand the value and time-saving potential this improvement would bring, we want to be transparent that making tracking categories mandatory across all relevant transactions isn't on our roadmap for development. If our position of this changes in time, we'll share an update for everyone, here.

    This is essential so the business can see what they have committed to before it becomes a draft bill/invoice.

    Hi team, we get how searching across bank accounts would be useful when looking for a specific transaction.

    While our product team have reviewed this idea, we don't have any plans for developing this capability in the short term.

    That doesn’t mean it’s off the table, and we'll continue to assess the interest from community in this as we keep planning our roadmaps.

    If things change we'll gladly share with you all here.

    In the meantime, you can use the search in Xero and filter by bank transactions. It’s not a perfect solution, but it can help in some situations.

    Thanks for everyone's support in this idea. We understand the strong feelings expressed in your comments, where an invoice can be accidentally approved when still needing to go through a review or remain in a draft status. 

    As suggested by some users in this thread, if this has already occurred an option for now would be to add a note to the history of the invoice so other users are aware of the action and what needs to be done, or alternatively Void the invoice and copy to a new Draft invoice (consider if you need to change the invoice # before voiding the approved one, so you can use this on the new draft invoice). 

    While not a resolution for this idea, to avoid mistakenly approving an invoice an option could be to make use of the keyboard shortcuts that are now available in invoicing such as Save &…
