Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting the ability to assign files to the project itself. While this isn't something we have planned right now we'll keep tracking the interest through the idea here.
To highlight, though not currently available on the Project directly, it's possible to attach files to the individual transactions within a project e.g a Bill, Invoice, Spend money or Expense. i
Along with this, you may also find it useful to create folders within your Files library where you can collect all files related to a specific project for ease of reference.
Understand this isn't the ideal solution, but may help some for now 🙂

Hi community, some time passed since our last update in the thread here we do want to return and share - while our product teams explored possibilities for how we might represent Purchase Orders in Projects research has confirmed that there is underlying work needed to the platform Purchase Orders are built on before we can achieve any good outcomes of your needs here.
We have enthusiasm and a close eye remaining on the support for this, but want to be honest that this is not something that we’ll be able to focus our attentions on in the near future.
Once we have completed work first needed in the Purchase Orders space we can reassess how to integrate purchase Orders into Projects and will update you all of steps forward, here.An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Sandy Sampson commentedAssigning and attaching a Client's purchase order to a project Quote with an area to show the purchase order # on the invoice automatically to assist in getting paid faster. This is what I am hoping for.

Hi Amanda and Sandy, I want to let you know that you can upload your document or invoice directly into Xero Files without using Hubdoc, and you can assign it from there - See more on our article.
If you’re looking into publishing the document from Hubdoc to Xero files, you can do it too. And you can read more here.
In saying that, let us know if you’re actually after something else.

My current workaround, since the client requests the PO # be on the invoice, is to add the PO number to the end of the Job Name. I've also started a folder in Files for POs from clients so I can attach their documents to invoices, quotes, etc.
