Hi all, appreciate the interest around this. Being able to view a contact's address would be built separately for invoices and quotes.
We have an existing idea for this in new invoicing that you may like to add your vote and join across here - you'll see this is something we're actively working on.
I'll slightly adjust the title of your idea here to reflect the Quote side of things and we can keep you updated if there's any change for this. Thanks

Thanks for the added detail, everyone. It's good to be able to share this detail back with our teams.
Appreciate why Bank Rules won't help for cash accounts and where you don't have a bank feed coming into the account.
Being open, this isn't something we have plans for changing in the short-term. We'll leave the idea open for our product team to continue considering how we could improve efficiency in some of the situations you've described. If there are any updates we'll share this with you all here.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Freya Pieroz commentedIf anything is going through the bank account, I create it as a bill or invoice.
Eg. a property purchase closing statement is a bill for the value of the property and the closing costs, with the bill paid from the loan, the prepaid deposit, and the payment leaving the bank account.
I'm quite happy *not* having this ability, as I have been yelled at in the past by accountants who journaled to the bank account without a corresponding transaction having gone through the bank account (as they were taught to do at university), and then were upset that the value of the bank account in the accounting system didn't match the bank statement.

Hi team, while we don't have immediate plans to change the placement of buttons on new invoicing we're interested in staying close to this feedback and I'll move the idea to Under review for the time being. We'll return to confirm any outcomes.

Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback on this here. Through testing we found that majority of our customers would Approve and email an invoice at once, which is why this was developed as the default in new invoicing. That said we appreciate others would like a different action as their primary option.
While we don't have direct plans for adding the ability to set a default for this action, we're listening to your feedback and looking into how we can improve efficiency and speed things up for you when using new invoicing through the use of keyboard shortcuts. We'll share more news when we've confirmed what this shortcut looks like and are closer to providing this to you all.

Hi Brett, separate actions in them self but it is possible to Approve multiple invoices at once from the Draft tab. When actioned you'll see a message from which you can 'View invoices' and multi select to Email.
Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now - Is there a common scenario, or specific reason you'd like these actions as one? It'd be good detail to share back with the team.

Thanks Daniel, and really appreciate your feedback in relation to the recent release and update of the idea you've linked - Feedback you share on our Status updates also get back to the teams involved so they've received your comments there too!
Not meaning to cut the curb the conversation, but we do sometimes need to make tough decisions of when to change the status of an idea.
It's great to get a fresh sense and understanding of interest in further improvements to this feature that our Projects product team can consider development for.
I've slightly amended the title of your idea to reflect the abilities to search and filter within this view and it's really good to have this detail from you of the specific fields and ways in which you'd make use of this change.
We'll begin feeling out the community interest on the idea here, and can…
An error occurred while saving the comment Freya Pieroz commentedFor getting overheads out of the unassigned expenses report, I've adopted the workaround of having a Project called 'Overheads'. It's annoying AF to have to allocate each... separate... transaction... separately... but it gets them out of the report so I can see what I've actually missed allocating correctly.

I know the reason for this - it's to stop accountants from altering the balance of the bank account such that it no longer matches the bank statement, and is thus not a true and fair representation of the financial position of the business.
Having been yelled at by accountants because the bank statement didn't match the balance sheet, when the only reason it didn't match was their own journal, I support making it difficult to make adjustments that cause accounts to be unreconcilable.
