Thanks for your continued engagement and valuable feedback on this long-standing idea, everyone. We've been carefully reviewing your comments and want to acknowledge the clear sentiment of frustration regarding the current limitations around managing multiple addresses for contacts, particularly for invoicing and delivery purposes, and that this is a critical feature to many of you.

We want to share an update on our progress here - We're pleased to confirm that the foundational work for handling multiple addresses has been completed within the Contacts area of Xero. This was a crucial first step. Building on this, now that all customers are on the new invoicing experience our product team has moved into the discovery phase for adding multiple addresses directly within invoicing. This means they are actively exploring the best way to implement this functionality to meet your needs effectively.

We appreciate your patience as we work through the complexities…

Brilliant idea and would help my organisation massively! If you can add files/images to quotes, PO's etc within Xero, you would think this feature would be possible to do within Products and Services too. Please plan to implement this idea!!

    Cheers

Hi team, pleased to share another update as progress moves along in this space.

We'd now doing some early testing of the teams concepts for being able to bundle inventory in Xero.

With the high interest for this in the idea, we'd like to offer the opportunity to be involved in the process - If you'd be willing to give some of your time to share back with the team, we'd love you to fill in this short questionnaire ✍️

While this will be limited to a small group, we'll keep you updated on the outcomes, here. Thanks!

This would be great! A field to attach images would also be extremely useful

Hi everyone, we’ve taken time to review the suggestion to include custom fields for both invoices and contacts, and recognise the value it'd bring in helping users capture more detailed information and avoid manual processes.

However, with other focuses drawing the teams attention such as multiple addresses this idea is not on our current development roadmap.

As we continue to plan future roadmaps, being highly supported this idea will continue to be considered, however we want to be open about it's current position with you all here. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and for your ongoing participation in the Xero community. Any changes to this status will be shared with everyone on this idea.

My organisation often sells goods from third party companies which we source from all around the world. Once a customer purchases a product from us, we often request the third party company / our supplier to ship the goods directly to our customer's address. Due to this, we then need to create a Commercial Invoice in order to transport the goods from one country to another.

It would be great if Xero would allow me to create customised fields in the Custom DOCX branding theme for invoices and add these customised options I have created to transactions instead of just being limited to the options which Xero currently have available.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on this idea, community. We appreciate that having to manually select attachments on every invoice can feel a little fiddly. We get that you want a smoother workflow, that saves you time.

As noted by others in the idea, one option for now would be to add standard files, like your terms and conditions, directly to your invoice template. That way, they'll be included automatically when you send out your invoices.

To confirm how this functionality currently works - this is based on the user and driven by the last invoice that was sent. Where you have files attached, and you had selected to include files as an attachment when emailing the invoice, the next invoice you send with file attachments should have this selected by default.

A caveat to this is when you are working in incognito mode, or refresh your browser…

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your input and letting us know your appetite for being able to set the Reply to address for your Xero organisation, here in the idea. As many will have seen with new invoicing, our team have begun testing and making small change to the send experience. While we've been able to make these changes when developing other areas of Xero, we want to be upfront that we don't have a timeframe of when we'll upgrade the email settings page just yet, but this is something we will get to in time - when we do our team will also review the Reply to address options as part of this. So, though there is no movement to share on this just yet please know we will let you know here as soon as there is.

Hi team, I know it's been sometime since this idea was initially raised and we wanted to update you all here.

We appreciate and understand why some businesses would prefer the acceptance of a Quote be sent to the organisation's reply to email address, rather than the user that initially created the Quote.

While our product team have reviewed and are attentive to your interest in this, we want to be upfront that this is not something we currently have direct plans for changing the behaviour of.

Our team will continue to review this idea and when we're in a position to assess notification and communications for Quotes, we'll share if there are any updates around this, here.

I have added my organisations quoting team email account to Xero (quotesUK@s3-alliance.com) and I have set it up under organisational settings>email setting so that emails relating to quoting, invoicing etc will be sent from this email address instead of individual business email accounts (e.g., jordan.dunn@s3-alliance.com). When I have carried out testing e.g., clicking on the link to view a quote online and then ask a question about the quote, this is going back to my jordan.dunn@s3-alliance.com account and not to the shared team account like I thought it would.

Xero support have advised that it is currently not possible to customise emails so that when a customer accepts, declines or asks a question on a quote it will go to our shared team email. As things stand, if a quote is accepted, declined or if any questions are asked, they will all be directed to the person's email address who created the quote.
