Hi everyone, thanks for all of your support on this idea.
We've been following your comments and recognise that having a streamlined way to get timesheets from a spreadsheet into Xero Payroll would be a huge time saver.
As noted by others in this thread, one option is to explore some of the connected time-tracking apps in the Xero App Store. While we know this isn't a perfect substitute for a direct import feature, it may help bridge the gap in the meantime.
The good news is that we see the value this feature would provide and we want to explore it further. We'll change the status of this idea to Accepted.
We appreciate your patience, we’ll provide any further updates right here.

Hi Community! Thanks for your active and on-going participation in this idea. The volume of comments and votes highlights how important more granular user permissions are for managing your payroll processes effectively.
Improving user permissions and providing greater control over sensitive data is a key area of focus for us. While we have no specific feature to announce today, your feedback is critical in shaping the future of this part of Xero.
Because of the clear need you've all highlighted and our desire to investigate this further, we're moving this idea's status to In Discovery.
During the discovery phase, our product team will be digging deeper into the core problems you’ve raised.
We appreciate your patience as we explore this. We'll be sure to update this thread when we have more to share. Thank you again for helping us understand what matters most to you.

IMPORTANT & URGENT ATTENTION
It is time that Xero management appreciated that it is critical for the entire payroll data to be accessible and reportable by the main HR &/or Payroll Manager.
Reporting on the sensitive areas is very necessary and it is the responsibility of the entity to protect data, not Xero!
If this cannot be accomplished immediately, if not sooner, then I for one, must decide whether to use of Xero for Payroll is to my entity's benefit.

I can't create a template with multiple earning lines to be used for employees and the times [hours] inputted manually each fortnight.
Eg., a timesheet template for
1. Home Care 3-1 Casual
2. Home Care 3.1 Full or Part-time
3. Registered Nurse 1.8
4. Registered Nurse 1.9Each with multiple earnings lines
A. AM
B. PM
C. Night
D. Saturday
E. Sunday
F. Public HolidaysWe have many employees whose hours vary week to week and the Xero system at present is lacking this ability.

Xero needs a multiple deletion of Timesheets in place of its single process at present.

A complete Employee Detail Report with all details on an employee/s including TFN, Bank Details, Super , Groupings & Classifications, Rates etc.
At present those details can not be download as they are considered "Private", yet the Administrator can put them in and change them so why cant the Administrator only, print them?

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback on this idea. We appreciate you sharing how important selecting multiple employees is for you when running this report.
Our product team has reviewed this and agree this is something they'd like to develop, though it isn't currently on the roadmap. We’ll update the status to Accepted, so that it’s formally put up for consideration.
In the meantime, Kelly mentioned the Payroll Activity Summary report lets you run reports by employee groups, though we understand this doesn't fully meet your needs with the two tracking category limit.
We'll keep tracking interest here and update you if there's progress.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your thoughts on having a payroll report that calculates payroll state tax. We understand some of you are required to calculate tax across multiple states.
While we don't currently have a report which calculates earnings based on state, some of you have mentioned workarounds such as using the Payroll Activity Summary report. This report includes earnings totals and can be filtered by a date range and employee groups.
We recognise the value a report of this nature could have for our customers and it’s been added to the wider pool of ideas for our product team to consider for future development.
While it’s not on our immediate roadmap, we’ll be sure to keep you looped in if there’s any progress.

I sent this to Sukhinder, the relatively new CEO for Xero
****************************
Sukhinder Singh Cassidy
CEO, Xero
I am reaching out to you for assistance in resolving a critical flaw with Xero Payroll, in Australia at least.
You do not have the user mix correct. There needs to be an entity’s user that has complete control over the entity’s data and is able to report on all data.
It is the responsibility of the entity to protect data, not Xeros.
Below is the submission I put in today FYI
IMPORTANT & URGENT ATTENTION
It is time that Xero management appreciated that it is critical for the entire payroll data to be accessible and reportable by the main HR &/or Payroll Manager.
Reporting on the sensitive areas is very necessary and it is the responsibility of the entity to protect data, not Xero!
If this cannot be accomplished immediately, if not sooner, then I for one, must decide whether to use of Xero for Payroll is to my entity's benefit.
This is part of submissions over the past 2-3 years, from hundreds of your subscribers, that have gone unheeded by Xero and that revolve around.
• Reporting on TFN, Superannuation & Bank details.
• Leave applications and approvals.
• Global Payroll reports for statutory purposes.
Would you please pass this on to the respective department for urgent attention.
Get them to update the system as requested by your clients.
