Hi everyone, there’s been a lot of thoughtful input shared on this idea, and we understand the efficiency and value this could bring for teams working with large or fast-changing contact lists.
While this request is not in the pipeline, that does not mean the need has gone unnoticed.
Your feedback continues to shape how we look at these gaps, and we appreciate you taking the time to explain what this would mean for your workflows.

Hi team, we've now extended sending invoices via SMS to customers in the US. This is a free feature for all paid plans in AU and US, and can be used in addition to, or as an alternative to sending an invoice via email.
See detail on how sending invoices via SMS works on Xero Central.
Again, at this time there is no way to automate SMS messaging via Invoice reminders. We'll update you if there is any word of this here.

Could there be options when adding a note to one of your contacts, ie, Phone Call, Email, Meeting etc etc. and then allow these to be filtered. I use the notes quite a lot for adding notes to tenants details and it would be useful to be able to look at these without having to look through every action. Same goes for contacting suppliers etc. Useful if needed for evictions or legal actions.

Hi team, wanting to provide an update to you here, we want you to know we understand the efficiency more users would like to have in being able to automate the creation of the Xero subscription invoice inside their Xero org.
To highlight from my last update for UK users this is possible with eInvoicing through the online invoice (My Bills page).
This is still something we're interested in developing in more regions however isn't planned in our roadmap just yet.
When resource opens up for us to be able to pick this work up we will share an update with you all on this here. Thanks for staying engaged and supporting in this idea.

Hi community, we appreciate this idea has collected a fair amount of votes and commentary. This has all been feedback and taken seriously by our product teams.
Currently, there are ways to record a bad debt in Xero, depending on your tax registration status and how you want the transactions to be recorded in your reports - We have help for this on Xero Central you can draw into.
We don’t have any plans in the near term to expand functionality to develop a button to write off invoices or bills as 'bad debt'. If anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

Thanks for your valuable feedback and for sharing the idea of "Bill payment reminder alerts or emails." It's clear this feature would be a significant improvement. As a current workaround, you can use the existing due date field in Xero to sort your bills and set a separate calendar reminder in your preferred app. While we work on assessing this idea, I want to share that we're exploring bill payment reminders for users with multiple initiatives in progress. We appreciate all your feedback and votes, as they help us better understand the impact and benefits of this feature, and we'll be sure to update this page with any new developments.

This would make life so much easier. Especially for a business like ours where there are rents due at different times of the month.

When setting up a new contact/supplier it would be benefical if Xero auto create an ID number. This would be unique to each client and can be quoted when sending payments to us or when we produce invoices etc.
