HI team, our article here will likely help you identify transactions that have not been included in your VAT return.
You can run the Account Transactions report to compare with the Transactions by VAT box tab of your VAT return.

Thanks for sharing and supporting here, everyone.
For those that aren't already across, though manual at present you could run the Account Transactions report to manually reconcile against your filed VAT returns.
We appreciate the process could be more automated. Though this isn't something we have immediate change planned around atm, we'll update you here if there's any news.

Hello everyone, we want to let you know that we’ve recently released the ability to convert PDF bank statements into pre-formatted CSV files in Xero (Read more on our blog for more information).
Currently, this feature is only available in the US and Canada. We know this tool will also be valuable to other regions and we'll be sure to update you with any new information about it becoming available globally.
For now, we’ll move the status of this idea to ‘Under review’. So keep voting and give us your input on how this feature can benefit your workflow!

Appreciate the traction this idea's gained - Thanks for your support, everyone.
Our Fixed Asset product team are working on upgrades to Fixed Assets platform and updating technology - Read more on this broader work on Xero Central
We understand how having an automated control to recognise and apply a write-off for general pooled assets where the balance is beneath the threshold would be useful, this is not in our roadmap right now.
That said, they have a close eye on ideas for Fixed Assets for when the time's right - we'll share any change on the idea, here.

Hi community, sometime on since my last post we wanted to provide an update for your all here and appreciate the continued attention this idea is receiving.
We want to be upfront that at this time focuses for the team are in other areas of bank reconciliation and we don't have any current plans for developing the ability to import and export bank rules from an organisation.
We understand and know this is important to everyone that has voted for the idea and will continue to review and pay close attention to the feedback and votes here. When there is more opportunity for the team to refocus efforts here we will keep you informed of any progress.

Hi community, we appreciate this idea has collected a fair amount of votes and commentary. This has all been feedback and taken seriously by our product teams.
Currently, there are ways to record a bad debt in Xero, depending on your tax registration status and how you want the transactions to be recorded in your reports - We have help for this on Xero Central you can draw into.
We don’t have any plans in the near term to expand functionality to develop a button to write off invoices or bills as 'bad debt'. If anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

Hi team, I wanted to share that the recent updates for the Reconcile page have now been released to all users. This includes a search bar at the top of the page and includes filters for date range and amount. This provides the ability to look up criteria of your statement lines and narrow down your search.
You'll also find you can now view more statement lines per page, with up to 50 at a time - You'll find more on this and other updates shared on our blog.
We appreciate the ask on this idea is a search across all statement lines, across all bank accounts. I want to confirm this is not something we have plans for developing at this stage, and I'll move this idea back to 'submitted' so we can continue to track and update you if there is any progress of this, here.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ami Wegrzyn commentedYes definitely and in Xero tax also - if disposed off in Xero then automatically dispose in Xero tax. It is very time consuming to dispose of assets individually.
Should also apply to any asset additions, they should automatically be included in Xero tax, we can then select FYA or Super-deduction but at least have the additions listed.Ami Wegrzyn supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Ami Wegrzyn commentedWhen you are in one clients Xero and need to look at something in another client - it should be possible to open another screen with another Xero to have a look at something rather than every Xero you have open changing to the Xero you just needed to look at something in. For example I could be working on something in one client but a client from another organisation calls up for information, I open Xero up in another web screen and find the information and then whatever I was doing in the other client has gone. Also for related companies it would help to see if all balances match up to each other, we have many related parties but by the time we have opened and flicked back into another screen we can only see one which is unhelpful.
It would be very helpful to be able to run a VAT transaction report which shows if the transactions were included in a VAT return and if so which return it was claimed. That way when we are completing year end accounts we know which VAT transactions have been included or not included in a VAT return, showing any differences, if any.
