Hi there, we appreciate you raised this a little while ago. It's currently possible to import project time to timesheets, however the rate is generally imported as the regular earnings rate.
This isn't something we have plans for in the near term.
Not getting a lot of support from other members we’ll soon remove this from Product ideas. If it’s still highly valuable to you, welcome to start it again and see if it gets renewed interest.

Thanks for continuing to follow along and join in the support of this idea, community. To reiterate on our last update we appreciate and understand the need in being able to easily view an employees' leave balances when reviewing leave.
As already spotted from comments here, I'd like to share an update with the release of projected leave balances in Xero Payroll Australia. This feature has just been rolled out to Payroll admins, where you'll be able to view an employees estimated leave balance when adding, editing or approving leave. You'll be able to view a calculation breakdown and will see a warning when a leave request may result in a negative balance. Helping you to better assess and manage leave for your organisation. 😁
We understand this feature is desired in other regions we offer Payroll and we'll continue to consider how this may be adopted in other…

It would also be great to be able to enter different types of leave on the one request. E.g. 5 hours sick leave, 2.6 hours unpaid leave

Thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea, everyone.
We’ve recently introduced a feature that may help with some of the needs raised here, and we’d be really interested to hear whether it’s useful for your workflow.
Many organisations now have access to Smart Document Capture, with the rollout still continuing across regions. This feature allows you to upload files into Xero, review the extracted information, and create transactions from those documents, including spend and receive money transactions.
You may also find importing a pre-coded CSV bank statement helpful, particularly if your organisation doesn’t have a bank feed available.
To be transparent, we don’t currently have plans to support importing received payments. That said, we’d encourage you to try these features and let us know here how they work for you, and whether there are still gaps for your use case.

We receive payment for over 100 invoices from a customer at a time, they provide a csv file as well as a pdf remittance. It would be great to be able to upload this to reconcile payment a lot quicker.

Hi everyone, thank you for your continued feedback. We appreciate you sharing how important selecting multiple employees is for you when running payroll reports.
The good news is our product team has reviewed this idea and agrees it is a valuable addition to Xero. We have updated the status to Accepted.
This feature is not currently on our immediate development roadmap, however by accepting it we are formally adding it to our backlog for consideration.
We will keep tracking interest here and update you as soon as we have news.

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback about managing working patterns for part-time employees.
We’re pleased to share that we plan to begin rolling out working patterns in AU Payroll later this year.
The first release will allow you to set a one-week work pattern for each employee. This pattern will automatically be used for leave and public holiday calculations in the pay run. At this stage, you’ll still need to update the employee’s pay template separately to reflect their standard working hours.
We plan to build on this foundation by connecting working patterns with standard hours in the pay run and supporting a broader range of working patterns. We’ll share more details as the first release gets closer.

This would make my job so much easier! I currently make notes in the discussion and then have export the report and add my notes back into the report to send to the business owners.
Standard users should be able to have access - if they can access bank accounts they should be able to access the report to follow up what is missing.
