Thanks for sharing this feedback in Product Ideas, Tamara. Drag & drop options into Xero Files is something our product team are looking into, however we can't make any commitment to development at this stage. I will keep you updated of any progress around this here.
In the meantime taking on board your feedback here they are keen to get further insight of the old to new outlook experience if there are any further details you'd like to share on your experience using Outlook with Xero, here?
While the drag & drop you're after isn't available atm, you should be able to use the Files unique email to still send your attachments from Outlook to your Xero Files inbox.

Thanks for all the engagement within the community so far. The feedback here makes it clear that automatically picking up the tax rate from uploaded documents could be a useful improvement to the invoicing workflow.

Hi everyone, thank you for your detailed feedback on a clock in/out functionality in Xero Me. We see how being able to clock in and out directly from Xero Me would improve accuracy for job tracking, while enabling employees to easily log start/finish times and capture breaks at the touch of a button.
As part of a wider project to improve timesheets in Xero, we’ve updated the status of this idea to Accepted.
While this status means the product team would like to develop this, it’s not currently on our roadmap and we don’t have a delivery timeframe. We will continue to consider your feedback as we plan future updates. Thanks for your patience and ongoing engagement.

Thanks for sharing your idea about limiting which pay items from the Pay Template appear in timesheets.
Regarding adding other units for allowances to timesheets, I'd suggest heading over and showing some support these existing ideas:
- AU Payroll | Timesheet - Ability to add allowances of other unit types
- Xero Me - Add Unit option to Timesheets

Thanks for sharing the details behind your idea. We understand the request to allow approvers to use a separate email address for Xero Me notifications. Having the flexibility to send approval notifications to a different email could help support a wider range of workflows while keeping personal and work communications separate.

Yes, I look for this every single time and get frustrated with having to marry several reports together -to get separate pay item summaries, employee locations and work types/areas in one report. It's a nightmare - please Xero get this sorted! This is also vital for payroll tax - with employees in a mix of states.

Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback and for highlighting how much Award automation would help your payroll workflow.
While we don't have immediate plans to build this directly into Xero Payroll, there are fantastic tools available right now that solve this. We highly recommend exploring the Xero App Store, where several third-party integrations offer embedded Awards as part of their software. These apps are specifically designed to handle complex Award interpretation and can automate the manual matching process.
We are moving this status to Not in pipeline, but we’ll be sure to update you if that changes.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and for sharing your experiences with leave requests for employees who work non-standard hours.
Later this year, we plan to release the first stage of Working Patterns in AU Payroll.
This will allow users to set a one-week work pattern for each employee, which will automatically be used for leave and public holiday calculations in the pay run.
This initial release will establish the foundation for supporting a broader range of working patterns in the future, including more complex or changing schedules.
We’re moving this idea to Accepted while we explore how leave requests could work for these employees. Please continue sharing your specific scenarios, as they’ll help inform how we develop this functionality.

This would be very helpful, please bump this up in the timeline!
Especially as we have to use a workaround to manage time in lieu accrued that requires staff to put in a daily timesheet with the extra hours as a separate work type because Xero doesn't currently have a way to handle TIL accrual.
When an entire pay period must be submitted rather than daily, it's difficult to manage part-time staff working extra days or additional hours, and management approval of those differences to ensure pays are correct.
