AU Payroll - Future dated pay rate changes (Effective Dating)
I like to be able to change a payrate in advance but still be able to use the old payrate in the current pay runs. Then adding a new line for ordinary hours with the new pay rate if it starts in the middle of a pay week. This way you don't have to go into each employee to change the rate if you have a pay week where it is the old payrate for eg 2 days and the new one for 3 days. It's also handy when you have to set up pay runs in advance because you go on Holiday for example, it will automatically switch from the old payrate in one week to the new payrate in when it falls due

Ability to enter a date range on employee pay template for deductions/reimbursements.
Helpful for entry of a one off or multiple weeks for reimbursement or deductions - if you forget to either remove from the template it continues, and if you don't have it on the template you can forget to manually add on pay day.
Just makes life easier if there was a date range that the deduction or reimbursement will be included if the pay falls within the date range on the template.
As example - Child Support can change by the pay so especially good for managing upcoming payments that vary by payment date.
Employee may be repaying for purchases over a period of weeks. -

Child support deductions... it would be useful to be able to, when we get the letter saying "this much from this date to that date and this much from that date going forward" to be able to put both those things in at the same time rather than relying on all-too-fallible humans to remember to go in and change the amounts on a particular date.

Can we please have the ability to add effective start and end dates against pay items. For example, a deduction may only be for 10 weeks at a set amount. Rather than having to setup multiple notes offline to remind us of this, can't we have this function setup in the payroll system so it only deducts the amount over the set period specified?
