Hi everyone, thank you for sharing how the current tracking limits impact your reporting and tracking of different aspects of your business and processes. We know this is an important capability.
We’re exploring how we might tackle the needs in this idea and enhance Tracking Categories for the future.
While we can't commit to developments at this stage, we want you to know we hear the support and feedback from our community on this.
We’ll provide another update as the direction for this feature becomes clearer.

It seems pointless asking for feedback on additional categories if Xero can not commit to any further developments at this stage, its been over a year now - what is Xero waiting for to progress this?

Thanks for supporting and sharing your needs in limiting access to payroll while enabling those that need to process Timesheets.
We’re currently developing more granular payroll permissions for timesheets so you'll be able to give access to timesheets without full access to Payroll. We’ll share more information as these permissions roll out.

Hey community, we understand an option to import Projects is something everyone that's voted on this idea would find valuable, and that this could speed up your workflow and improve accuracy when managing a high volume of projects or migrating from another system.
While not a solve for all aspects of a project, within the bills side of things we released the ability to upload bills that might reduce the time taken in manually entering data for project related bills, now.
Being open and honest, we don't have any plans for enabling the import of projects to Xero. We know this isn't the update you're hoping for here, but want to give clear expectation so you can make the best decision for your business.

We really need our employees to track their time to the relevant jobs they are working on, through the timesheets. We have various jobs running all the time, so only being able to track to one current job will not work for our company.
I would imagine this is the same for many others, so I would hope this is an area that will be developed soon.
