Hi community, there was a brief window in which users were able to unintentionally code line items to CIS codes. However, there is more complexity in calculations for CIS and work that's needed to reflect this appropriately.
Thanks for starting an idea in this, we'll begin to track the appetite as a possibility for future work.

This is so disappointing, we had assumed that Xero would be doing this correctly and have just found out that it hasn't been and therefore the business has been not complying with UK requirements.
At the very least if Xero aren't going to make the changes then they should at least be alerting businesses who put their employees on statutory maternity leave that they will need to do the additional admin to remain compliant, because based on my support response 'Xero are aware that it doesn't align with UK legal requirements.' so therefore is displaying negligence to its UK business users.
Xero is payroll software so businesses will quite rightly assume that the software is calculating correctly.
