Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your engagement and sharing how custom fields would be advantageous to you here.
With lots of work for 'building on beautiful' underway atm, we want to be honest that custom fields is not planned in the near term.
Some in the idea here, may find the recent addition of Notes that can be added within the Contact Details section of a contacts record useful in being able to record and view specific detail relative to a contact at present - More on this shared here
We'll continue to evaluate the viability of largely voted ideas such as this when there is resource, however this unlikely in the next 12 months.

Hi everyone, we want to share that we've released a change to history for each time an invoice is sent.
Invoice history will now show the primary recipient email whenever an invoice is sent. This includes the initial and any subsequent send of an invoice.
We appreciate this has been a pain point for everyone that's joined in the idea here and hope this visibility improves your experience in invoicing.
We'd like to confirm how this works;
- This record is only applicable from here on in, there are no updates to any historical entries for sending.
- History will show the email of the initial recipient entered in the 'To' field any emails that you include as a CC or BCC option will not be shown.
We do want to highlight, that while the email will be recorded in majority of cases, there are a few scenarios our team have picked…

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your input and letting us know your appetite for being able to set the Reply to address for your Xero organisation, here in the idea. As many will have seen with new invoicing, our team have begun testing and making small change to the send experience. While we've been able to make these changes when developing other areas of Xero, we want to be upfront that we don't have a timeframe of when we'll upgrade the email settings page just yet, but this is something we will get to in time - when we do our team will also review the Reply to address options as part of this. So, though there is no movement to share on this just yet please know we will let you know here as soon as there is.

As we are a multi-state organization, and have several bookkeepers around the country, it is critical to us to be able to have the "reply to" email address be personalized for each bookkeeper.
One way to achieve this is to have the "Reply to" email address to be set in the branding, rather than being in the settings.
If you truly want Xero to be scalable to larger corporation, you will need to address this issue, and perhaps more larger companies would adopt Xero

In our industry, it's common to have multiple billing entities servicing the same customer. While each invoice is correctly issued under its respective billing entity, our customers expect to receive a single consolidated statement showing all outstanding invoices, regardless of which entity issued them.
Currently, Xero ties statements strictly to the billing entity, which makes it difficult to provide customers with a complete view of their account when multiple entities are involved.
We’d love to see a feature that allows:
Linking a customer profile across multiple billing entities.
Generating a consolidated statement for that customer, showing all outstanding invoices from all linked entities.
Maintaining proper legal and financial separation between entities while improving customer communication.
💡 Benefits for Xero Users:
Improved Customer Experience: Customers receive one clear statement, reducing confusion and improving transparency.
Streamlined Accounts Receivable: Easier tracking and follow-up on overdue invoices across entities.
Time-Saving for Finance Teams: Eliminates manual compilation of statements, speeding up month-end processes.
Better Relationship Management: A full picture of customer activity helps account managers and sales teams.
Scalable for Multi-Entity Businesses: Perfect for franchises, subsidiaries, or regional offices sharing customers.
Enhanced Reporting & Insights: Consolidated reporting improves forecasting and cash flow management.
If this feature would benefit your business too, please vote and comment to help bring it to Xero’s attention.
The more support we show, the more likely it is to be considered for future development!
