Great news team, work has been moving along well and I'm pleased to share our teams are developing the ability for employees to self-onboard by entering their own onboarding details within Xero Payroll in Australia.
We appreciate the extra admin and time this will take back for Payroll admins to be able to focus on the more critical payroll tasks. Currently in testing with a small group of users, I look forward to coming back with more details as we progress to release.

Yes another way Xero has let us down unfortunately. We are sadly starting to wish we'd never moved to Xero Practice Manager.

Hi community,
Our product team recently made significant improvements to the client list! 🥳
You can now choose how many clients to show per page, making it easier to see many more clients. You can now also sort your client list using many more columns. Previously the only column you could sort by is client name but now you can hover over all the columns (organisation name, email address, phone number, business number, subscription type, industry classification, connected banks, financial year, Bank feed deprecation) on the client list and sort.
Finally, you can also merge or add clients to groups from the list page.
The product team don't have any plans to enable the ability to view all clients on one screen which is why we're shifting this to 'not planned' but we believe that these combined changes will provide a better navigation experience.

Client Merge popup box needs to be expandable. It wants me to select which client that will merge into from the other (which is irreversible) but I can't expand the popup screen or hover over the fields to see what is written in full to know which one to select.

Hi community, we're thankful for all your support and letting us know the importance of this idea to you in appropriately recording Fixed Assets in Xero.
As many will have experienced we've launched a new version of Fixed Assets to most regions with just a portion of AU left to receive this new experience. There's been lots of work from the team to develop this version all built on updated technology that'll enable growth in this space, overtime.
Currently, though we've done some initial discovery of what'd be required to build the capability to proportion assets depreciation for business and private use in all regions, this hasn't been currently planned for the short term.
For the time being, we'd recommend posting manual journals to record the private use apportionment of a Fixed Assets depreciation.
If you're using Fixed Assets in NZ it's possible to set up an asset and apportion…

Come on Xero, for goodness sake, get on with it and get this done. We just bought a substantial number of clients over to XPM and we find out after that that your asset register is actually useless for a lot of our clients. You promote this as the goto software for accounting practices so how about you make it so!

Have been able to do this in MYOB for a very long time. Just another thing that Xero can't do. You have a very good sales team that over promises and under delivers.
