XPH - Bulk address change from Client group
In the old XPM we could bulk update client addresses for a client group, this functionality appears to have dropped off the new version, can we have it back please?
Hi everyone, we appreciate the feedback we've received on this change and while this was an intentional change this is something our product teams are monitoring feedback of very closely and considering improvements around in the new clients experience.
While we can't make any commitments atm I will be certain to share any plans with you all here.

It is disappointing that this change has been implemented. We manage large client groups, often with ten or more entities, and are now required to update each entity manually. This creates unnecessary inefficiency and adds significant administrative time. It is unclear why Xero is making XPM more difficult to use rather than improving overall usability. This feature should be reviewed and corrected as a matter of priority, with proper consideration given to feedback from active users.
Additionally, it is unclear why a country must be selected first when saving an address in XPM. The previous version worked extremely well. A single address input section would be far more efficient, with the option to designate the address as residential, postal, or both within XPM.

Utterly ridiculous that this change has occured. We have large client groups with upwards of 20 entities that we have to manually update one by one. Why is Xero trying to make XPM more difficult to use? Please fix this feature ASAP and actually listen to those using the software.

Please bring this function back ASAP. It is very time consuming to have to update large groups individually.

Agree with previous comments - Very frustrating, especially when dealing with large entities/groups! Using so much more time now since losing the automation, now having to enter each address change manually. Would be great to have this function back ASAP.

This was crucial to our processes, especially when dealing with large groups! It is going to cost us so much more time now, having lost the automation and forcing us to do each client manually again.

Bulk address ability needs to be reinstated AND being able to view all of the addresses in a whole group on one page!

Please reinstate the ability to do this. The ability to bulk update addresses was a huge time saver. The latest update is definitely a step backwards and time waster for anyone involved in admin.

Why would you intentionally change something that actually benefits users? Will the subscription fee be reduced now that functionality of the system has also decreased? This needs to be added back asap.

We have many clients with 20 to 30 entities, most have at least 10-15. Sometimes the postal address is different to residential which means 40-60 or 20-30 manual and very tedious changes, using the above examples!! Even just 5 or 10 changes is a hassle.
And where has the 'address search' function gone???
Xero, I can't believe this was an intentional change! This is a prime example of the people who instigated it having never worked in an admin area with Xero where updating addresses used to be a quick job but is now a major, VERY time-consuming one!
Did it ever occur to you to ask your users a few questions before making such backward changes? I'm now keeping a list of client address changes to make when I have time - clearly not an efficient way for me to work!
And while I'm here, on the client main page, please add a column to show the addresses. In the 'columns' drop-down, there are 13 choices most of which the majority of us will never need to use! But no address column???
I'm trying hard to get used to this new (boring looking) format that we out here had no choice about, but you sure don't make it easy by removing previous helpful options!

Prior to the XPM upgrade we could view client group addresses in a single screen, update one member of the group and select the option to update all addresses across the group.
It is extremely time-consuming (not to mention frustrating) viewing and updating grouped clients one by one.

I and our admin team here agree with everyones comments - please bring back the "related clients addresses" update and the address column to be added in the view of a client group.

PLEASE bring back the bulk update address feature! Also addresses would search & autofill, now we have to enter in full.
Clearly staff working in admin were not consulted before these updates were made, as everyone would scream out to keep it!
Also, add an address column for those of us who like to see all addresses for a big client group. -

It is so stupid that you would remove this feature, we all use it on a daily basis and need it to happen quickly, not buy exporting and importing, the old way worked well and I am sure anyone who has to use this everyday would agree. If this update was run past admins or any client services they would tell you how much we rely and use it. Just stupid to intentionally remove it, who thought that was a good idea!

It would be great to have an update on this.
We have client groups that have up to 43 entities. Now, I don't know about you, but I certainly have better things to be doing than opening 43 clients and updating the STREET and POSTAL address for each - not to mention the new update also makes you select the country before entering the address. This, ON TOP OF updating the ATO and then ASIC, it would quite literally take me half the day for what should be a relatively simple update.
We migrated from MYOB AE a few years back. This update has taken me back to those days - clunky software, inefficiency and too much room for error.
There are so many aspects of this upgrade that have made it less efficient than it was before.
Xero, my swear jar is almost full. Please take all of these comments into consideration.

Our Admin team constantly have to update an entire groups addresses at the same time. Some groups have up to 20 entities! It was frustrating enough to see that we could no longer visually see the addresses of the entire group at once but to have to go into each entity idividually just to update an address is so inefficient. It also provides an opportunity for mistakes to be made. This feature worked wonderfully before - please bring it back!
In addition to this, the feedback from our Admin team is that most tasks now require additional clicks to do simple things. I am guessing these updates were not instigated by Administrators who are doing this work every day?

The ability for XPM to show where a home/postal address has been used and action a bulk update has been removed. This was a standout feature of Practice Manager and it's removal has caused great annoyance at my firm. Please consider bringing it back!

From an accounting and practice management perspective, it’s extremely disappointing to see a system that worked really well (and that we genuinely valued) now broken. It has moved beyond inconvenience and into practice risk. Check the issues with the 'new' Tax Manager!
While we’re being told to “stop beta”, the reality is that many of these changes are applying across all users regardless, so they can’t be avoided.
Hopefully Xero can lift the platform back to the standard it was previously operating at.
