XPH - Bulk address change from Client group
In the old XPM we could bulk update client addresses for a client group, this functionality appears to have dropped off the new version, can we have it back please?

Another significant issue with the removal of a feature like this is the increased risk of user error. We first need to identify every client that shares the same address, often across multiple client groups. We then have to re-enter that address individually (sometimes 50 or more times) which is both inefficient and highly prone to mistakes.
We recently migrated from APS, and this capability was one of its many key strengths. APS not only offers broader functionality than Xero, but it also allows bulk address updates; something that is no longer possible in Xero.
Given the volume of long-standing feature requests for functionality that is standard in other practice management systems, it is difficult not to conclude that the administrative realities of accounting practices are being undervalued.

I agree with all other comments, the removal of this function means much more time spent updating client address and leads to the possibility of errors when updating multiple entities with the same address change. Please bring back this function urgently.

The removal of this has created so much extra work for me. It definitely needs to be re-instated. And the address column also needs to be added back in to the group view.

Totally agree with all comments. It was one of the better features being able to update addresses in bulk.

The removal of this feature is an admin nightmare. It is a crucial timesaving feature.

Agree with all comments made so far. The bulk address update option was one of very few benefits in XPM, we also have client groups consisting of 10+ entities and having to manually update each entity is going to result in errors occurring, omissions and lots of wasted time. The necessity to add a country first to enter an address is also unnecessary, default should be Australia and change should only be required if country is not Australia. To date I see very few actual improvements in the new update/interface, and the frustrations far out weigh any minor improvements. Whoever in your development team decided to remove this bulk address update functionality needs to be more in tune with the actual day to day operations of how the software is being used by the consumer and work to improve functionality and efficiencies not reduce them! The Xero response is also unsatisfactory, the functionality was there and has been removed, how about just replacing it. Not happy!

Yes, why are we going backwards?? You are meant to make the software better not worse than it already was! Xero is going downhill massively, too money hungry, you aren't here for the people actually using the software anymore

We just discovered this tool is not available and are not happy, please reinstall as able to change a whole group was so quick and efficient. My boss is not happy!

The AI response to everyone who wants the address bulk function back is incredibly insulting - Xero should be ashamed of themselves for this response.
Why remove a wonderful function that worked so well for everyone in the whole world. Not SMART Xero!!

This was one feature of Xero that I loved as it worked so well. Why remove such an important feature. We have some client groups that have 20 or more members - having to update each address separately is inefficient and no doubt errors will be made. Why did you fix something that was not broken?

Bring back the function to update an address change for the whole client group not just per client in XPM

This is an insane omission in the update! Without the ability to bulk update address by Group/Associated, we now have to update each and every one manually! The time it takes to do this is crazy and adds multiple opportunities for errors to occur!
Having to add Country in the first instance is also an unnecessary step! -

Since the latest XPM update, we’ve noticed that the option to bulk-update related client addresses after changing the an address appears to be missing. Previously, this feature was extremely useful for quickly updating multiple related clients who shared the same address.
We rely on this functionality to keep client records consistent and save significant admin time. Without it, we now need to update each related client manually, which is inefficient and increases the chance of inconsistencies.
This feature was a real time-saver and an important part of maintaining accurate client data across groups.

Makes it so much easier to update large groups. Why take it away?

bring back the 'green link feature' that updates associated clients address in a group.
