As we continue to expand and develop AI capabilities across Xero, exploring ways to streamline and automate data entry, like leave requests, is something we may look into down the line. While this isn't on our immediate roadmap, hearing your specific use cases helps us gauge demand.

Thanks team, we understand how beneficial it’d be to archive or remove unused leave types from employee records to keep things tidy.
It’s something we're exploring as part of our payroll modernisation work, however it hasn't been planned just yet.
We'll keep monitoring your input here and update the thread if this moves into active development. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts on this.

Thanks for your support and joining in this idea. We get the challenges involved in manually chasing up employees to complete timesheets each pay period.
Although it's not the integrated solution you’re looking for, you could look to set up recurring calendar events or using external communication tools to prompt your team members.
We want to be transparent that we don't have any plans for adjusting the existing notifications for timesheets.
We'll continue to monitor this idea, and should our priorities shift in the future we'll let everyone know here.

Hi everyone, thanks for supporting and sharing how enabling employees to update their own bank details in Xero Me would be beneficial to you.
We’ve recently released updates to Xero Me so that employees can view and update certain personal details directly from their app. This is part of our ongoing work to give employees more control over their information and reduce manual work for payroll admins.
However, the ability for employees to update their own payment details in Xero Me is not something we’re currently planning. When it comes to bank account and payment details, there are additional considerations we need to take into account. In many regions, employment legislation as well as fraud-prevention obligations mean we must be especially careful about how payment details are collected, changed and who can authorise those changes.

Hi everyone, and thank you for your feedback on reporting child support via Single Touch Payroll (STP).
Xero doesn’t currently support child support reporting through STP. While this isn't in active development at this exact moment, we are reviewing it for potential inclusion in our longer-term roadmap.
For now, we suggest you continue to process child support using an 'Other/None' deduction category and submit the required monthly report to the Child Support registrar manually.
We appreciate your patience and will update you if the status changes.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for your continued votes and comments on this product idea. We wanted to let you know that this feature is officially in discovery. We are currently exploring ways to enable our AU Payroll customers to pay employees seamlessly via Xero.
Because we are in the early stages, we don't have specific timelines to share just yet. However, we will keep monitoring your feedback and will provide another update right here as soon as more information becomes available.

Thanks for your feedback about setting working days for part-time employees, everyone.
We’re pleased to share that working patterns are now in development, with the first release planned for later this year.
You’ll be able to set a one-week work pattern for each employee, which will automatically be used for leave and public holiday calculations in the pay run. For this first release, you’ll still need to update the employee’s pay template separately to reflect their standard working hours.
We plan to build on this by connecting working patterns with standard hours in the pay run and supporting a broader range of working patterns. We’ll share another update as the release gets closer.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how important it is for your business to have monthly salaried employees complete timesheets for tracking and reporting purposes, without impacting pay run calculations.
Some of you have found workarounds like approving timesheets after processing pay runs, although this may create challenges down the line.
Our product team is currently undertaking a wider review of timesheets, and this idea will be included in that process. Therefore we're updating this idea to Accepted. We'll keep you updated if there are any developments on this.

Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to share how you currently manage RDO and TOIL in Xero Payroll.
We're currently working on a wider goal to manage Modern Awards into Xero, which includes automating earning rates based on award levels. As part of that broader project, we also want to look into leave accruals down the track.
While we can't offer a specific timeline for when this will be addressed, this work is on our radar as part of our award journey.

Hi there, as part of our ongoing review process, we’re in the process of updating our idea statuses to better track Xero Product Ideas.
We’ve taken another look at this idea. Whilst we can see the value for payroll administrators to be able to view the payslip in PDF from within the Employee’s record, this update doesn’t currently fit into our product team’s road map. We’ll move this idea to a status of Accepted and will continue to review this in future planning.

Thanks for your strong feedback on logging start and end times in NZ Payroll timesheets. We understand some of you are currently using workarounds or additional softwares to track start and end times.
I'm pleased to let you know we're moving this idea to In discovery, which means the product team is now reviewing the viability of this feature. This is an important step as we explore what it would take to bring this functionality to NZ Payroll and how it could best serve your needs.

Hey team, me again. Apologies, getting a little ahead of ourselves with the status of this idea.
I can confirm that self onboarding of new employees is live for Xero Payroll in AU, however this feature does not extend to NZ organisations right now.
This will be something we continue to consider as we keep developing Payroll for NZ and I'll share any further updates with you all here. Thanks
