  1. There is a significant design flaw in the new Files UI:
    1. The delete button will remove an attachment on a single click, rather than prompting a confirmation.
    2. The 'View' file button is directly next to the delete button increasing the chance of accidentally clicking delete instead. Given the point above there's no way of recovering the attachment as clicking it will instantly remove that file.

    In the old invoicing you could simply click the file name to view rather than clicking a 'View' button. The delete button was under a cog and initiated a second click to confirm…

  2. Make the functionality of quotes similar to invoices, e.g. import quotes, bulk approve quotes, bulk send quotes. I recently had to send out 417 quotes for the same thing and they had to all be done individually which was extremely time consuming. If they had been invoices, I could've imported them on a spreadsheet, approved them all at once and sent them all at once. Instead each one had to be done individually.

    Appreciate your liking to invoices in Xero, Angela. Each functionality would need to be considered in isolation so I've changed the title of your idea here for bulk sending.

    We don't have any direct plans for this right now, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest and keep you updated of any change, here.

    You'll find an existing idea for import/export of quotes that you may like to join as well. If there's any other feature like this that you'd like to see welcome to start another idea. 🙂

  3. The sum and subtract function in invoices is a great feature; it would be great to use it in expenses as well. I often have to itemise a gross expense total into separate items with different VAT treatments. It would be useful to subtract the itemised line amount from the gross total directly in Xero rather than using a calculator.

    Hi all, we wanted to share an update for our US customers that sending invoices via SMS is now available! We have just released this functionality and you can use the same Xero Central article as shared in the last update to understand the in's & out's of how this works. After this release we will be working on delivering this to the UK and NZ markets. As mentioned initially this is limited to the Stripe payment service but we will also be expanding this other payment services down the line.

     

     

  5. New Invoicing - Show ABN details with Client details in the "To" section of the invoice. All other information is there for reference, excluding the ABN.
    To view the ABN details, you need to leave the invoice screen and go to Contacts.

  6. Currently, when filtering expenses by name, the settings reset to default each time an expense is opened and closed.

    Please update it so that the filter settings remain active, eliminating the need to reapply them for each expense viewed.

    Also, please add a date filter setting

  7. I work with 2 screens - when entering a bill it would be really useful to be able to view the xero transaction on one screen and view the attachment on the second screen. Currently the bills sometimes have such small print you have to really zoom in and move around the screen to be able to read it. I am aware you can open it as a separate document, but this wastes as much time trying to zoom etc. Many people now work with 2 screens so I think this would be a really useful function.

  8. I would like to use Mailerlite with stripe and xero to sell my products. When I log into stripe my products catalogue is empty. I need my products in stripe to be able to use the Mailerlite landing page to sell my products

  9. Make it possible for imported invoices to be marked as sent when importing them.
    Perhaps an additional column in the template Mark as sent status "Y for sent N for not sent"
    If this is not possible the ability to bulk "mark as sent"
    this would eliminate the issue of individually opening each invoice to manually "mark as sent" to activate the auto invoice reminders

  10. Xero can currently accept online payments however most methods have quite large fees and can result in chargebacks. BTC lightning payments have lower fees (almost nothing) and no chargeback risk. The ability to offer customers this would be great.

    There are a few SDK's to implement end-to-end lightning payments that are apparently pretty good such as this one:

  11. Packing Slips need to print what is on screen. Xero how about you create a rule to check what is in the Packing Slip fields and make sure what is going to print also matches. Don't expect the users to have to check what they are printing actually comes out of the printer correctly.
    This is the response I got from my Trouble Ticket on this issue today, which suggests the users "wait a few moments to allow the auto save to complete."
    New invoicing is very frustrating, why should we have to wait for something that works perfectly well…

  12. It’s not possible to view the original invoice exchange rate in New Invoicing. New invoicing only shows the current exchange rate. I have to revert to classic invoicing to see what rate was used when posting the invoice.

  14. We use the project and task options for all our projects.
    Each of our tasks within individual project folders have fixed prices. These fixed prices are often of a substantial amount, with projects scheduled to run up to and at times over a year.
    We invoice each task/project for time spent each month till the project is completed.
    I would like to have the option to invoice against time spent at the end of each month on each fixed price tasks within each project.

  15. Would like to be able to add users with only access to invoicing, without them seeing any other part of Xero. This would be a huge benefit so I can have team members invoice customers without seeing company financials.

  16. Stop "Mark as sent" pop-up for every invoice. When making multiple new invoices, this pop-up occurs for each invoice made, no matter if reminders are turned off. This is new, started April 2024, and XERO support states there is no way to turn this off.

  17. When sending remittances from batch payments, all suppliers are automatically ticked whether they have an email address or not, but you cannot send any remittances to any suppliers if even one of the ticked ones is missing an email. This is a laborious process to go and untick the suppliers with no email addresses in order to send the rest.

    It would be great if suppliers with no email address listed are either:
    1) already unticked, so you have to tick it to add an email and send the remittance to that supplier, but the suppliers with emails will work…

  20. When checking information on the inventory screen it would be extremely helpful if you could click on the 'In committed quotes' or 'Quantity on order' to see the customer or supplier to which they are assigned. Sometimes I need to chase a supplier for parts but have to waste time trawling through the purchase orders to track down who they have been order from. Likewise it would save time to be able to go straight to the customer quoted once an item has been received.
