    Also to better understand the idea would this be on a client basis or across all clients that are managed by a practice? 

  2. An updated, functional VAT reconciliation report.

    The existing VAT reconciliation report isn't particularly useful. It has to be populated manually and the figures that do populate automatically can't be drilled down into. Not helpful.

    VAT reconciliation aren't really a problem for us as we can use the Detailed Account Transactions report to identify the transactions posted directly to the VAT account i.e. transactions that have a category of VAT, whether it be a VAT payment, VAT on imports or just simply a miscoding by the client.   4. I would love if when we merged Invoices into 1 from drafts it doesn't leave the draft that I need to manually go back and delete. This can cause double ups of Invoicing.

  5. Expenses module: We want the ability to customise the Expenses Claim Reference.

    All expenses under the Reference are set as "Expense Claims," which makes it impossible to search specific claims/events or others. Can this not be customised within the expenses Module ?

    The recommendation from Xero is to revert to manual expenses, which defeats the objective of paying for the Expenses module. Any chance this can be added or will we need to remove the feature as there is no point paying for something we need to do manually?

  7. It would be great to have the option to email a customer invoice as a csv or pdf or both. We are getting an increasing number of requests to send the csv version of invoices for our customers and this is currently quite a manual process to email the exported invoices.

  8. Now that NZ has 7 days transactional banking by all banks, can BNZ who is only providing Xero with bank feeds Tuesday- Saturday, (per Xero support) now send Monday- Saturday, so Saturday/Sunday transactions can be reconciled Monday's and information be up to date.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on the frequency of the BNZ bank feed. We understand that getting timely transaction data is crucial for keeping your accounts up-to-date.

    The way the direct feed from BNZ is currently set up means that transactions made over weekends and public holidays are sent through to us on the following business day. This is why you'll typically see these transactions appear in Xero on a Tuesday.

    We will keep this idea open for the community to continue voting on. Your votes help us, and our banking partners like BNZ, to gauge demand and prioritise these potential improvements. We’ll be sure to post an update here if there’s any news to share.

  10. Hi all,

    I want to run an accounting transactions report... if I filter the contact, it comes up with the whole list (I have loads archived!). Would it be possible to be able to filter out the archived contacts or at the very least, be able to type in the one I want?
    My predecessor saved all PayPal transactions by their individual addresses so have had to archive them all to make my actual contacts list manageable!

  11. The Account Transactions tab has very weird information presented. I need to see either the Description from the Transaction or the Expense Account account it's hitting. I see neither.

    In the Description Column of the Account Transaction Tab, you have the vendor/contact, not the Expense Description. In the Reference Column, you have the bank reference, which is fine, but it's a duplicate of the vendor info. You're leaving me with no useful information about the transaction.

    Hi community, thanks for your support and engagement on this idea. We acknowledge your desire for enhancements in how you can Budget and forecast reporting within Xero, and being able to mirror custom Profit & Loss report layouts you've created.  

    While we understand the needs expressed by you here, we want to be open that we don't have immediate plans for developing this tool.

  14. My Bank rules were deleted by someone. Xero doesn't have a restore function or the ability to see who deleted these.

  15. Discounts - the ability for the discounts in sales to be allocated to an expense account rather than distorting sales figures. At the moment each line item has the cost of the item then applies say 10% discount equals net which then is allocated to the sales account. I would like the option to allocate discounts to an expense called discounts given so that we can track and show the correct sales figures. By distorting sales figures you could be affecting calculations like WET. other programs allows you to setup discounts given & taken and freight even.

    Hey everyone, thanks for for letting us know that this is important to you. We agree that having an up-to-the-minute view of your bank transactions, every day of the week, helps make managing your finances so much easier.

    The great news is that many banks already offer daily feeds that include weekends and public holidays. Since each bank determines the frequency of their feeds, the availability of this can vary.

    If you’re with a bank that doesn’t currently send transactions every day, we encourage you to also reach out to them directly to request this from them specifically, and this will help them to inform demand for this.

    We’ll keep this idea open for votes and comments to track the demand for this idea in general, and let you know if there are any updates here.

  17. Why doesn't Xero display the currency symbol (like a $) in any of the financial reports like Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.? We get only the plain numbers without knowing they are in U.S. dollars (in my case) and make these basic financial reports harder than necessary to read.

  18. A report that shows the total paying a supplier in a payment batch, currently we can only produce a Batch report that has individual invoices and a total over all but no total by supplier.

  19. I find it unacceptable that Xero cannot give a report with the exact debits and credits on the supplier / customer account without showing how the allocation was done. If there are 2 invoices of a 1000 and 1 payment was made of 2000 - I want to see it exactly like that on the report and not 1000 allocated to the first invoice and 1000 allocated to the second invoice. This is standard in Pastel.

  20. We have bureau licences with read only access for clients - however when the bank feed drops they are unable to refresh without upgrading. As they have no other involvement it does not make sense for them to have upgraded access - can we allow them to do this on a slightly improved access level please?
