  1. When you enter a bill and save it as a draft or approve a bill up the top it gives you the option to enter a new bill but it doesn't give you the option to enter a credit note. Because I can click add a new bill I enter all my invoices first but if Xero gave me the option to enter a credit note I would use this very much. Right now I have 14 supplier credit notes to enter and that is not unusual and it is very time consuming having to go back to the bill…

  4. When you import a tax invoice file you get to select when the invoice amount are either Tax Exclusive or Tax Inclusive.
    The default radio button option is always set as Tax Exclusive.

    It would be nice to be able to change this default setting so that the default option can be set to tax inclusive. I know it's a minor thing and while it might not save a lot of time, if all of your tax imports are GST inclusive, having the option to have this set as default so you don't have to remember to change it would…

  5. When suppliers are paid, the payment is given a reference, and this is then used to file paperwork. We can no longer see the payment reference when reviewing paid supplier invoices. Please bring this back.

  6. The New Bills report answers our need for original currency in an awaiting payment report, as a large firm of Accountants we need this for our multinational clients. However we need the Export button to be able to produce a report to approve payments from the client. Please can this be added asap. Thanks

  8. Xero expenses has been with us for 5 years. There have been no significant feature upgrades despite us all paying extra for the privilege.
    Basic functionality like searchability, proper alignment with bill functionality to search suppliers and see total engagement with suppliers, ability to include attachments (e.g. bill documents from expenses) to pass through to customer invoices, ability to add a markup to expenses (e.g. for common cost plus models) etc. - NONE, not a little, nothing, zilch, nada of this has been actioned by Xero and nobody seems to be available or interested in discussing it.   9. Remittance Advice - too many clicks
    After I pay a bill I get a small pop-up in the bottom left corner in Chrome with a select link to send a remittance advice. On click, I get a modal to check the fields and then hit send. I have to hit send twice in that modal for it to actually send.
    The form focus should move to the send button.

  10. add column in invoice overview. Hi, I was wondering if I can add a column in the program in invoices overview. When I used sage 50 account before, I could see a list of invoices and first few lines of what the include. Now when I go to a customer and would like to check how much I charged for particular job and I don't know when it was done, I need to open each individual invoice to see description.   14. There is a title and summary box you can edit when creating a quote, why is that not the same for invoices?
    And why isn’t everything thats on a quote not duplicated on the invoice, eg title and summary
    Also the defaults terms need to come up when creating quotes, invoices, credit notes and be able to edit them, instead of having 20 different templates so you can easily remove the two or three words you don’t need.

  16. Remove the 'Skip' or 'Allocate Credit' pop up box when entering invoices.
    When entering a number of invoices, if the customer who you are entering an invoice for has a credit on their account, a box appears asking to 'allocate the credit' or 'skip.' By clicking either it takes you back to the enter invoice screen without the option of adding another invoice. This makes it quite time consuming when entering a number of invoices.

    Is there a way from stopping the 'allocate credit' or 'skip' boxes appearing?

  17. Businesses need the ability to provide customers with itemized receipts so customers can process their insurance claims/tax deductions etc.

  18. It would streamline workflow if there was a feature that allowed us to store a client's credit card on file and when a single invoice is sent out to the client, the business can charge the card on file.

    In previous invoicing systems, I was able to "store" a client's credit card on file and then invoice and charge the credit card on file. This is an important feature for my business as it removes the burden off my clients for paying the invoice and reduces the amount of follow up on my end for collecting payment.

  19. In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…
