  1. Allow an option for the Account Watchlist to show figures on a cash basis.

  2. Projects- Add date project is started in xero and the name of who started it. This will help us to be able to determine how many days a job took from order date to completion.
    We will also be able to tell who started the project if we need further information about it. Something like the 'History and Notes' in the Invoices, where there is a record of who generated the 'Project' and on what date and who makes changes along the way would be perfect. If you have multiple invoices for the same client, a feature that allows you the option to automatically apply bank transactions receiving money from the client to the oldest invoices first moving closer to date would be mighty helpful. At the current moment, we have to manually split out each transaction to the invoices when reconciling bank transactions; it stands to reason that if you have a client with multiple invoices and they pay off in chunks, you would want to apply payments to their oldest debt first; having this as a selectable option for a contact / bank rule…

  4. When entering a quotation, is it at all possible to do a selection per customer so that we can print out a "back order"list from the quotation. This will enable us to see the customer's name and description for all outstanding orders. Then we dont have to go into each and every quote seperately?

  8. Xero calculates tax per line based on the total tax value of all components then rounds this figure. It is later split between tax components.

    Xero should be calculating the sum of each tax component rounded for each line item.

    Image attached shows how Xero calculates a different value for two equal tax components due to this simplistic method it is using to calculate tax. What is the point in having the ability to set multiple tax components if this is not taken into consideration when calculating the total tax value per item.

  9. Expense Claims when assigned to a Customer in Projects should be automatically paid once the Customer pays their invoice. Currently even after they are paid the Expense is still outstanding in 'Bills You Need To Pay' on your dashboard. You then have to manually add payments for these Expenses even though they have already been paid by the assigned customer in Projects. It doesn't make sense.

Current invoice template (as of 26 July 2023) does not allow to automatically populate the customer's VAT number nor make reference to reverse charge, as is required by Council Directive 2006/112/EC of 28 November 2006 on the common system of value added tax, Section 4 "Content of invoices", Article 226, paragraphs (4) and (11).

    Current template means we need to remember to fit in those details in the services description since there is no way to add a note on the invoice itself.

  15. The Xero API will let you send an invoice by email - https://developer.xero.com/documentation/api/accounting/invoices/#emailing-an-invoice

    There is no equivalent functionality for Quotes, each needs to be send manually. This endpoint should be added in as well.

  17. Statement by Contact - as same contact a bill payment and a customer.
    Statement needed for 'Contact"
    We really need to have statements for Contacts with a running balance. We use the same Contacts for bill payments and also for invoicing, and want to be able to send them a statement.
    We use Xero for several entities and all 3 have this issue.
    Please put this as a priority as it does not look professional sending the contact an account transaction listing - instead of an activity statement by Contact.

  18. When creating/editing an invoice with the new style, you can select fields to show/hide. We would like to be able to change these and set the changes as default - at the moment you have to go in and select the ones you would like to see every time you are editing an invoice. The main one for us is the discount column - we would like to see this on every invoice. Having this functionality to show/hide is good, but just don't want to change this every time.

  19. In Projects, it's vital that the employee who submitted expenses is shown on ALL Project reports.
    Why? Because at the moment, it's impossible for the Project Manager to check if all employees working on the project have submitted their expenses. It could also be that they HAVE added an expense but 'forgotten' to add the Project to it so it doesn't get included - because use of this this field is NOT mandatory in expenses.
    2. It would also be very helpful if the gross and net amounts are available in all reports. Again, for a Project manager, it's difficult…
