  1. Currently the various tabs on the Bills overview have a column for paid value and a column for due value. It would be useful to have a total column so that I can quickly see the value of each bill.

    This would be especially useful where bills are part paid, as to find the bill total currently I would have to either add up the paid and due columns or look at the bill itself.

    Hey community - we're delivering this idea 🎉

    The team have enabled customisable columns in the Bills area, with the ability to show the Total amount on the following tabs: All, Draft, Awaiting approval, Awaiting payment, and Paid. 

    They've also added a new column on the All tab to show Paid date, as well as a new Credited column on the All, Awaiting payment, and Paid tabs.

  2. Currently: In new invoicing we are provided with suggested items when completing fields such as "To:".
    Using Enter at this points selects that highlighted suggestion, but using Tab ignores the highlighted item.

    Request: Enable Tab to be used in new invoicing to confirm a highlighted selection. The same function as Enter currently provides within this context.
    Tab is an active keyboard option in other areas of Xero such as Bank Reconciliations so this would keep the UI more consistent.

    Hi team, we recently made a change to the tabbing behaviour, so now when you tab to a field and highlight an option, tabbing to the next field will hold the selection that was highlighted.

    For example pressing Tab in the 'To' field will hold the highlighted contact, and move you onto the 'Issue date' field.

    Hi everyone, super quick turn around here 😁I'm happy to share that the changes for invoice reminders have been pushed live and you should now find invoice reminder emails will include your company logo. This is pulled from the organisation settings, so if you'd like to revise your logo you can do this through the organisations settings page.

  5. Whilst reconciling bank transactions it is often useful to look at the account transactions tab. When doing so it would be really nice to see the files link as an entry so you can easily see the transactions associated with a bank transaction

    Hi everyone, I wanted to share that the file icon will show against all Account Transactions that have been created with an attachment 📂. Clicking on this icon will allow you to quickly preview the attachments. Invoice/Bill payment transactions will show the file icon when files have been attached to the payment transaction. As this is an Account Transactions list only, to see if the individual invoices/bills have attachments, you can head to the invoice/bills lists.

    A separate idea has been raised for the Account Transactions Report to Show Files icon & number attached which you can add your vote to if that’s something else you’d like to see.

  6. Ability to add a discount for unit price just for a single line item.

    Hi community, this is possible for invoices with the use of the discounts column where you'd only enter a discount for particular line items. With new invoicing you'll have the option to enter a discount as either a % or amount. 

    Alternatively if you'd just like Xero to calculate the unit price and not need this shown you could use Xero's inbuilt calculator to enter an equation that'll automatically calculate the price for you based on a given amount. 

    We have a separate thread going for the ability to add discounts to bills (accounts payable invoices) that some of you may like to join for any updates.

    Back with good news, everyone! From today you'll find that your Receivable Invoice Summary and Details reports have both been improved so you can now add quotes as a Source in the report, as well as two common formats to quickly see all quotes or just outstanding quotes in one view. 


    Get in for a try, and save the views you'd like to use regularly. We appreciate all your support and feedback for this, here. 

  8. Remove rejected leave items from view. As currently they are front an center even if related to a historic time for all employee when in desktop version of Xero Me.

    Just before the end of the year, we rolled out the option for employees to archive their rejected leave requests in Xero Me web.

  10. Regarding the budget variance report, I wish to be able to add a column and select both tracking categories i.e. by program and session in "edit layout". Our goal is to produce a report which we can see the actual v budget of each program by session i.e. Columns as follows; Budget 'Program' Session 1, Actual 'Program' Session 1, Budget 'Program' Session 2, Actual 'Program' Session 2, Budget 'Program' Session 3, Actual 'Program' Session 3.

    Earlier this year we rolled a change to our budget variance report, that allows you to select multiple tracking categories when adding a new column in the Edit Layout mode.

Be able to pull off an annual statement showing each monthly CIS return by sub-contractor for them to pass to their accountants/bookkeepers at the year end, rather than them coming back to you with a list of missing months that you know you sent out in the batch but they have lost or went into their junk mail

    Hi everyone, coming back round to your idea - this is now possible with the CIS Contractor report and entering a custom date range.

    Go to the All CIS transactions tab, and in the date picker you'll be able to select 'Custom' and then run the report for the year. 

    All functionality that was included in the CIS Payment and Deduction Statements report is now in the CIS Contractor (Monthly Return, Online Filing and Statements) report, including the ability to generate statements for custom date ranges. 🙂

  12. We have many suppliers that reject invoices if we send them direct from Xero. Hence we have to download a PDF copy and email it manually from our finance inbox. This process now takes 5 clicks as opposed to one click in classic invoicing. The new process is to click "Approve & Email", but then to exit this screen. Then move across the screen to the left top corner and check the box to mark it as "sent", then move all the way back to the right and click "Print PDF" and then wait for it to open in a…

    Hi community, today we released the ability to mark an invoice as sent when printing in new invoicing. Now, when you select to 'Print PDF' you'll receive a prompt to ask if you'd like to mark the invoice as sent - see in my image below. Thanks again for your engagement on this here 😊

  13. There is no reason to keep the previous bank holidays on every payslip.

    I can’t seem to get rid of previous bank holidays from showing on current/future payslips. Why are bank holidays from the Easter and the King's Coronation still appearing on payslips May 2023 onwards?? Doesn’t look very professional. This is all on the YTD earnings line. Why isn't there an option to remove it? Clients are not very happy.

    Hi everyone, returning now a few weeks on from our last update, we’re going to move this idea to ‘Delivered’ with the change the team made to Payslip PDFs. We have now combined all previous earnings as one YTD line so that your employees only see the most relevant information 🥳

  14. Please give us the option to also edit and custom project reports, I need to add fields, run reports by date and add calculation fields. Currently we have to export available reports and edit in excel, it would be great to do it in Xero.

    Hey community - this one was released earlier last month, apologies for the delay.

    You may have seen that last month, we released an update to our Project reports that delivers this idea! 

    In addition to exporting to Excel, PDF and Google Sheets, you'll now have the option to save the Project Summary, Details and Financials reports as a custom report.

    Hi team, just rounding back on the flow here. 


    When using new invoicing you'll find as when you type in any field of a line, a new line is automatically inserted beneath. 

    So, you can either tab through fields or use your mouse here. 🙂

  16. A detailed pay run journal report would be much more useful than the current summary version. It is especially unhelpful that selecting the entry in an expense account just takes you to the pay run - it doesn't show you what is coded to which expense account. With many employees this can take a long time to find errors or to manually journal multiple costings

  17. Currently it is not possible for a user with the Invoice Only access to view paid invoices under the contacts tab. It doesn't make a lot of sense that they can view all of the invoices however when in contacts can only view invoices that are unpaid.

    Sorry for not updating you sooner here, team.  We've just released an update for Invoice Only roles in Contacts. What you can see will now be dependent on the level of access the user has.  

    • Invoice Only Draft will no longer see the I Owe and They Owe columns, 
    • Invoice Only (Sales) will only see They Owe, and 
    • Invoice Only (Purchases) will only see You Owe. 

    This change applies to sorting on the page as well.

    Since this idea was updated to reflect the first point in the description, I'm switching it over to delivered.

    I can’t see any other ideas about the ability to review past transactions but can confirm that's not currently planned. If it’s still important to you feel free to start a new idea for it.

  19. Add tax depreciation schedules in report packs.

    Hi community, thanks for contributing your support and interest for adding Tax Depreciation Schedules to report packs. With a recent update we've made it possible for Partners to include Tax Depreciation schedule as a report in Report templates.

    You'll find the Depreciation Schedule, Disposal Schedule, Pooling Summary and Pooling detail all options when adding reports to a template from your practice. 🙂

  20. Payroll doesn't refresh data unless you scroll up and down inside an employees pay all the time
    Can you fix this ? Even if you had a button which you could hit to pull changes
    into pay amounts quicker
    It takes a long time waiting doing the payroll when putting in hours and different rates for each employee each week for the amounts to change and pull through properly
