So frustrating David. Very disappointed that basic things are not available in Xero and they do not seem to care to develop these with any sense of urgency!

This is critical to us, we cannot identify each individual contact in turn to check which Group there are in. It seems a simple addition to the filter options on the Statements page. This is a show-stopper for us!

Critical for our many school clients to send / print statements by grade / class groups. Did not know such a simple thing is not possible in Xero and Xero is never interested to quickly develop a solution. In fact Xero seems to ignore these ideas pages altogether !

Before the updates I could select a customer group and easily create a one page statement for the whole group in a couple of clicks. This ability has been disabled. I supply supermarket chains and now I have to manually create an excel spreadsheet and enter in invoice number, date, PO# and $ of every single invoice for every single store. It takes hours. Please bring back the group statement function? All the info is there so why not make it accessible to us?

They do not read this at XERO- we tried Statey but you can only send to one contact group at a time

have over 1000 customers, of which need to send statements to approx 25-30 every month (who are larger customers and/or have many transactions and/or require an end-of-month statement) - I expect this will grow to 50-80 when it becomes easier (when can define the "statements required" group of customers and just easily send statements to that group). Currently have to select one "page" at a time from the full list (limited to a maximum of 200 customers per page - and have to send stmt for each "page" as the selection is not retained (does not carry over) when move to next page).

Exactly - and at end of every month we think very bad things about Xero as we send out statements. It has been months since my first post.

What is the point of having these various 'support' centers with XERO if there is ZERO response?

Xero ropes customers in and then leaves them with no support and lacking basic account features - I find it extremely frustrating!

why do we never see any replies from Xero ?

@jade bai - this is a good idea for some. Unfortunately my biggest client, who also happens to have the most customers in buying groups, do use the account number so this will not work for us. Really Xero - this seems like such a small fix to make usability so much better. Making reports look 'pretty' is all very nice, but it doesn't actually help with issues with how Xero actually functions.

@Jade Bai Nice work around! thanks for sharing! Although WHY Xero hasn't prioritized this fix (it's been mentioned for TEN YEARS!!) is beyond my understanding!

I have figured a work around for us - may not work for some...
We do not use the Account Number option on the contact and have removed it from showing on our invoices/statements.. However there are only certain customers we send statements to and I have used the Account number option to preface each with STMT and then there name e.g STMTSMITH or STMTBROWN
Then when you go to send statements i use the filter option, put in STMT and it brings up all the customers i send statements to...
You could then use any preface to group your contacts...

I have customer contracts in different groups - I have to go into contacts and manually tick each contact I identify as being in the relevant group. How simple it would be if you could select each of the contact groups to send statements to .....doesn't seem like this would be a huge effort from Xero tech team to put in place :(

QUITE TIRESOEM THAT YOU CANT DO THIS - having to send each one individually

We operate 4 entities out of the one account and it would save time and errors if we were able to separate them out when doing statements
