Quotes - Title and Summary to flow through to Sales Invoices
Ability to make quote’s title and summary flow through to Sales Invoices.
Purpose: To save users’ time rather than having them manually input the same title and summary when the quotes are converted into invoices.

This is absolutely critical for many of my clients and seems remiss not to be included already.

Having this feature is a no brainer, I have to copy and paste every time, which means I have to do multiple copy and pastes. Please xero just do it now.
It would also be good if there was an option to automatically include the first line of the title in the beginning of the email subject line in both quotes and invoices, eg- Painting at 300 Queen St Brisbane INV-3456

Absolutely! I put important information about the purchase in the quote title and summary, and then I use that (with the template feature) to populate the email subject and content when I send it. With the invoices I can manually put this information into the email, but then it's lost when people just view the online link or PDF. And it's not saved so I have to fill it out again when sending the invoice to someone else.
This suggestion was actually started by the Xero team almost 9 years ago and it's wildly popular. You already have to infrastructure there from quotes. And quotes already flow through other information to invoices. Please please please get this done!

The title and summary appears on the quote, but you can't select whether it appears on the invoice. Really? Come on Xero, this would be such a simple fix and users can decide if they want to use it or not. Please.

As an architectural practice, we have clients with multiple projects at different addresses or multiple projects at the same address. Adding this feature would allow us to easily differentiate these projects for our clients.
For example we recently won three projects for a local parish council, one project involves working on a listed church wall, another is for a storage container at their offices/village hall and the third is a new main-gate and EV charging stations. These projects all have to be submitted separately to the local authority and will run with slightly different timelines. They all have concurrent project numbers and each one has a different funding stream, be that government schemes, fund raising or self funding. This feature would allow is to immediately identify each project to anyone who read the invoice and it could easily be matched up with the quotation. Currently our work around is to put a word or two in the reference after our in house invoice tracking numbers which is almost indistinguishable, when compared to the 'Title' & 'Summary' fields on our quotes.
Please make this essential improvement as soon as possible.

This is a critical piece of information that is missing
As I work for a few Occupational Therapy who have clients at multiple address, This is ideal to fill out as a quote but you only have the ''Ref Box" on the invoice for the Clients name & number
I would look so much more professional, having a Billy Address & Job Address on my invoice -

This feature would be amazing for contractors and the building industry, a simple to reference the project, then a description (or in my preference two possible message boxes) where we have to make reference to plans the quote is based off, put messages of inclusions and such, ideally if this could be added to custom invoicing where one presents above the line items and one below that would save us a lot of time and hassle in the long run as we have to implement this information onto all our quotes and some invoices and have to do this outside of the software

This is an important feature. These fields would hold information relating to the job and should appear in both the quote and invoice.

Quotes has an optional Title field. However, this is not shown on invoices. Nor is it available to add via the Branding Theme.
Under Invoice Branding Themes, please allow users to optionally select to show Title field.

One reason I love the quote title/summary feature is that I can add important context to the quote PDF itself for cases where companies only forward the PDF around internally. But I also use Xero email template feature so the quote title and summary are automatically used in the email subject line and content whenever I mail the quote out. But all of this is lost when I convert the quote to an invoice. I previously used QuickBooks Online and they have had this feature for many years.

This is a requirement our customers believe is critical. It also leads to delays in payment affecting cash flow.
Please introduce. -

There is a title and summary box you can edit when creating a quote, why is that not the same for invoices?
And why isn’t everything thats on a quote not duplicated on the invoice, eg title and summary
Also the defaults terms need to come up when creating quotes, invoices, credit notes and be able to edit them, instead of having 20 different templates so you can easily remove the two or three words you don’t need.My invoices are legal documents and i prefer to put necessary information on them instead of in the email so when the invoice/quote is accepted and paid for its all there on the document
I don’t want two subscriptions for another invoice app because of the absence of a editable title summary box and terms

It has been more than 8 years since Xero themselves posted this idea and they've completely redone the invoicing and quoting system since then, and yet still we can only use the title and summary on quotes?! Please add it to invoices as well. Thanks!

Facing the same problem where it is important for us to have the "summary" field in invoices. Can we please look into this?
