Email Settings - Specify date/time to send transactions
Ability to specify date/time when users’ want to send emails from Xero.
Purpose: So clients/customers can receive the email during the working hours and not at random time.
Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is looking into this idea however, they don't have any dates planned on when they’ll develop the ability to schedule emails.
Totally understand how this feature could benefit your workflow though, being able to schedule an email to send during acceptable hours, so you don’t have to remember!
Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

So far I have never seen Xero action anyone's request for an enhancement. I suspect the are still busy working on the first version of Single Touch Payroll as that was their excuse for many years. Or maybe it is this really recent new thing called Covid. They will have some excuse for not listening to their customers.

It would be great if we could schedule the time that the reminders are sent to client's. For example if we could select the timeframe say 9am to 5pm on a week day. Currently they are sent out between 4am and 8am based on the businesses time zone. Client's are not enjoying getting reminders at those times especially on a Sunday Morning. thank you

I'm so confused by Xero's inability to delivery on this feature. This isn't rocket science, people. And I'm not making an uninformed statement as I'm in the software business, and I know this isn't too difficult to implement. Combining this with another feature request which makes for a very unintuitive solution seems rediculous. Being able to schedule the sending of an invoice ahead of time is such a necessary and basic requirement. Your solution for repeating invoices just isn't appropriate for many reasons. I won't list them as others in this thread have explained the limitations.

Scheduling of payroll emails, any other client emails and scheduling of invoices is technologically simple in many other platforms. Why Xero cant manage it I dont know. Every month I have to tell people that their payslip arrival does not tally up with the point they get paid. Embarrassing.

Am I reading this correctly that 7-8 years after this idea was originally put forward, only now is it even being considered for development by Xero? How many more years will we have to wait for it to come to fruition, I wonder?

I send a number of clients a regular monthly invoice for the same amount each month, but with slightly different details each time (such as the month in which the work was carried out), so a repeating monthly invoice is no good for me.
However, being able to create all the invoices ahead of time and have them sent automatically on a specified date - which is also what I would need if I were away, seems like an obvious feature to have.

Id like a "schedule invoice" feature so it can be sent on a particular date as a one off. Otherwise I have to prep them all and go back in to send them all at the required date. I would use this for annual subscriptions. I cannot just submit as a repeat invoice as the members each year can change. I see others have requested this too so it would be a great added feature to have. Thanks

Hi Xero team, can your team please provide a response for the queries on this feature? Is this planned to come into place as a tool for users of Xero? Very useful feature to have. Sometimes you find yourself light with work and that is the perfect time to schedule invoices... but I realised that the feature does not exist! Hence my vote.

MYOB has had this basic feature for eons. Many businesses require invoices to be submitted to clients at a certain date to meet contractual obligations.
