Invoice Reminders - Auto email Statements to customers
Ability to send an automatic statement to customer
Purpose: To prevent late payment from customer
Thanks for your support on the idea, everyone. We thoroughly appreciate your participation, and letting us know where you'd like to see change across Xero.
Customer statements, is an area of Xero that needs upgrades to it's technology in order to make ideas like this one here possible.
Currently, while we have plans for modernising this space soon we cannot commit to any new developments for Statements until this work has been complete. Once this has been done I'll round back to the idea here when we can reset the objectives.

Please Xero, the Automate of Statements is a must in all Accounting Packages, can Xero stop changing what the screens look like and start concentrating on what is needed to run even smoother accounting systems.
Xero needs to have a set up where one can Automatically send out Monthly Statements to their clients, so invoices are paid promptly. Xero goes on about invoices being paid on time, Statements go hand in hand with this.
I would like to see this addressed sooner rather than later. -

@Luigi - because Xero only pander to accountants and their needs rather than end-users now. It's become as complacent as Sage and awaiting a new competitor to wipe them out... hopefully soon.

I would love to see this happen. Specifically with the amounts/overdue by days in red as you see when viewing via the Dashboard as opposed to running a statement report. See the example to make more sense.

Why are all these ideas too hard to implement? You know what isn't too hard to implement? Changing to a system that has all the critical features and functions to make our lives easier.

It would be a great help to us to be able to automatically send statements rather than having to take the time to send individually each time. This should be a standard option.

Would be a massive help for small business and something I think is critical for a so-called "beautiful Software" company to offer!!!!

Auto send statements on preset dates.i know this is a paid add on but who wants to pay $10 a month for such a basic setting every other account package has as standard

wow, EIGHT years now since the idea was shared, six months on from the update and no nearer...???!!
As others have said, it surely really have been a standard feature by now.

While Xero doesn't support this natively if you can afford an extra 3rd party app. Paidnice (https://paidnice.com/) supports invoice reminders for email + SMS. It can handle all the uses you have outlined below Caz..

When you do get to this, options I would like to see are:
All Customers:
- Option to send or not send statements automatically.
-- If the option to send automatically is selected, then:
--- option to choose what date and time to send them
--- option to insert a notice to all customers on the statement
--- option to be notified when opened/read by the customerIndividual Customers:
-- Option to choose which individual customers to send statements to
-- Option to choose what date to send the statement for each customer
-- Option to be notified when opened/read by the customer
-- Option to add a notice on the statement to be read by the individual customerI hope this suggestion helps.
In both cases, on statements to be read by all customers as well as an option to send customized

Having time to move everyone across to the horrible new reports but didn't have time to automate the email statements in the last 8 years.
You've done a great job Xero! -

Statements set up and sent automatically is something I have been waiting for a long time, approx 7/8years.
It's important because we have several clients that we have multiple jobs ongoing with and invoices are being missed due to having so many to deal with. A single statement going out monthly would help when they do their payment runs. Maybe if we could allow the option of a date per customer so we could have it automatically sent out on the day they do their payments, this way it also doesn't get lost within their email inbox. -

Hey @barry
Take a look at "Statey" on the Xero app store.
It automates statement runs, with smart lists so that it doesn't spam people that haven't traded with you recently.

What are your timescales for this please? With more and more clients only paying on receipt of statement, as a small business it is a very time consuming exercise to keep having to go through accounts. Why is it so hard to create a function whereby if a client account has invoices that are overdue xero can automatically send them a statement of account? I would like to know how important you think this is to the end user, as I am now actively looking to move a to a new accounts provider that will accommodate what is a must for me.
Also, what is Xeros tie in with Statey? From what I can see it is a stand alone app that integrates with xero to set up automated statements. Why cant you do that instead of tag teaming with another app ...THAT WE HAVE TO PAY FOR! Get to grips with it please xero before we vote with our feet.

This is such a standard, basic function, that surely is not that different to automated invoices being generated and sent. Very poor showing by Xero not to have implemented this feature after all this time. If you're not capable of doing both, stop wasting time modernising existing features and focus on implementing basic features such as this that should have been available a long time ago.
