AU Payroll - New Employee - Online Commencement Forms
Ability to send and generate online commencement forms from Xero Payroll.
Purpose: Employees can complete and submit their own online commencement forms, rather than having to ask the employers to submit it.

Hi everyone, we're looking into this idea as part of research our teams are doing on managing employees, particularly looking at our customer's experiences onboarding new hires and setting them up in payroll.
Knowing the interest from our community in this here, we wanted to share an opportunity to get involved.

Come on Xero. You have the XeroMe app, so this should of been part of that release. This is an essential part of payroll these days.

New employees | Australian Taxation Office (ato.gov.au) - Employer software linking to forms in myGov
The specifications are now available for software developers to build services that link your software to the online commencement forms. Check with your software provider to find out if this service will be offered.
With this service, you can allow your employees to access the ATO online services form through their own payroll software or onboarding solution. They would:
• only be able to access these forms from the link you give them
• need a myGov account linked to ATO online services.
On the ATO online services screen, your employee can:
• view pre-filled information about their tax affairs (for example, residency status or education loans)
• see information related to their superannuation, including their existing funds and your default fund
• complete and submit the employee commencement forms to us.
Once the form is submitted, your payroll software will request the information from us through SBR2-enabled software. The information we give you will include the employee's tax file number, residency status, tax free threshold, Medicare levy details and chosen super fund. -

Another very small reason I am shifting to back to MYOB after only using Xero for less than a year after taking a job using it.

Sick to death of not being able to read employees handwriting and or missing info, an onboarding feature would be much appreciated asap.

hi, Can I have option to send a link to my employees for onboarding, the link will be used to fill tax, super and bank details and reduce the work for admin. Can this be done? I used to use MYOB and they have this facility. Can this be provided. It is hard to us to fill these details as we hire 2-3 staff daily. Also, is it possible to do payroll for more than 200 people? as this is what we will be planning to do in next 3-4 months.
If this can't be facilitates, please let us know so we stay with MYOB. Thanks -

This is something that should have already been implemented. MYOB already have this feature and definitely something that should be a given to implement. Would certainly be an awesome feature. The amount of time wasted trying to get new employment forms and processing manually is a killer!

This will be fantanstic. At the moment we have to use another app. Thereafore staff members have to familiar with two apps. Not using the apps often they are not familiar and and keen to use the app. Pleae add onboarding to you r payroll feature......
MYOB has it!
