AU Payroll - Calculate future leave balances for employees
For permanent employees, all XERO business customers should be able to calculate their future leave balances. This will allow a business owner to know if they can approve the leave or not, or what conversation to have with a team member.
I hope this idea is backed and implemented.

I've had to create my own spreadsheet where you can dump in leave balances after each payrun. It then has a section for leave booked in or requested and forecasts leave balances out into the future

I have raised this before. It wastes so much time having to manually calculate future leave availability so you can approve leave applications.
This is especially tedious at Christmas, when our office closes for three weeks. Adding in public holidays and consideration of the rosters of part-time staff who work only some days of the week, a lot of time is wasted and accuracy risked.

To me this is a function that every Xero business would want implemented and one that is in almost every other HR system I've ever used

Currently a lot of manual calcs are required to pay an employee in advance eg before Christmas shutdown or to calc if employee has enough leave before approving leave

We would like this feature as well, as we would use it for cash flow projection regarding long service leave.
