New Invoicing - Show stock level when adding a Tracked inventory item
When typing a quote, available stock used to show (when you typed a figure in the "quantity" field (if available stock was less than required the open window would turn red) but it doesn't now. It would be great if this feature were also added to invoices (and quotations as before) so that one didn't need to check stock on a different page for each item being invoiced. I note that it shows when typing a credit note, so it must be possible!
Hi team, thanks for your contribution and sharing with us on your use of being able to see levels of stock when invoicing. Right now, our team are developing improvements to the line item grid in new invoicing, where you enter detail of your invoices. This work also involves providing visibility of your tracked inventory stock on hand so you know how many items you have to sell.
For now we'll move to working on it and I'll keep you updated of when this is released in new invoicing.

Please show the inventory level on the new invoicing as mentioned in the other posts on this page. It is a very important feature to our business.

It is imperative that the inventory level shows - as pointed out below, when it tells you at the end of the invoice that you don't have stock to sell you now have a lot more work to do. The new invoicing has so many issues, it is very disappointing from Xero and also as commented on previously, quite regressive.

New invoicing
Can we return the remaining stock level that pops up in the quantity field. It is important with a business that has transitioning new sku's to replace existing. Also when zero stock in available when invoicing, I'm not see the out of stock message.
Visibility of stock is extremely useful when invoicing.

New invoicing is absolute failure, so many things don't work and it is non logical.
Inventory level doesn't show
If you edit there is no way to cancel, seems you need to use page back button?
Cannot add payment without clicking dropdown
No SEND button need to use dropdown
In discount cell cannot do calculations, but being able to use amount or % is a good option
In pdf unit pricing has 4 decimal places for cents?
Update doesn't acknowledge, or work in some occasion
It is so much SLOWER to use than Classic due to having to click multiple items to achieve an outcome, really poor logic!
PLEASE Do Not remove Classic Invoicing until all the issues are resolved -

In the last version of the invoice, you could check on line the availability of the quantities of the inventories and appear in red when you sell more than you have, this is very important and critical.
On the other hand, it could be great if I can totalize the quantities in the invoice

With the old invoicing you can see what stock you have on hand when doing the invoice and then if you are running should you can then place your order.
With the new invoicing this does not show up. This is much more time consuming because if you do not have stock you are only reminded of this after entering the quantity amount. This is very annoying and adds more clicks. This is not more efficient.
Please add the stock preview back onto the invoice line. -

NEW invoicing is a step backward. The only positive features so far are that it auto adds a line for more line items and the packing slip..
Other than that is is terrible.. why in gods name does it not show stock as you are invoicing.. when you have a customer standing there it makes you kook like a bloody idiot! -

Very important and convenient for me. I don't understand why this was taken away. Please put it back.

Just trying out the new invoicing, seems ok until you realize the stock on hand feature is gone, such an important feature for seeing when something was getting low in stock. Sounds like a nightmare if you have many items on an invoice and it doesn't tell you which one is out of stock. Please put this feature in the new invoicing.

Stock is a natural part of most business. If Xero is trying to get us to use another outside "App" and charge. I will just move to another software that can provide it all in one. I'm over the " additional" features.

it is extremely important to check the stock/inventory level

Apart from packing slip this new invoicing is terrible.. THIS not showing stock on hand is an absolute essential element ot invoicing.. especially since you can just quit doing an invoice as it auto saves and causes you to then have to delete an invoice leaving holes in your invoice numbering... Why cant we also nominate our action buttons - the amount of times i have accidentaly approved and emailed when I dont want to is ridiculous!

If the Qty available feature is not included on the new invoice format I will probably have to change to Sage, Quick books or someone who does provide this service.
It would be crazy to take such a regressive step. We have 100's of lines I can not manually cross-reference with a stock file. -

It would get great if xero could work on improving inventory - when I quote or invoice it is great with old invoicing to keep an eye on stock level

On the classic invoicing system this same feature was also present (when stock was not available, it alerted you in red and showed how much actual existing stock was available). This feature is not yet available on the new improved invoicing system, I would like to see this feature added once more.

New invoicing is useless without showing the quantity on hand of a product. It's such an important feature so that we can suggest alternatives if we are out of stock of a particular item. Please add this in to the new invoicing before you get rid of the classic version. Nobody from Xero seems to be replying to similar comments.

This is essential for stock management and makes using Xero stock feature much less attractive.
Please leave the old invoicing until this feature is updated on the new invoicing.
Why are you getting rid of old invoicing?
Please can someone at Xero respond to this, not everyone will be using stock control on Xero so may not have a large number of votes but those that do will be using this feature all the time when invoicing. -
Wayne Muminovic commented
This feature is an absolute must and has to be updated by Xero. Cannot understand why they are switching off the Classic invoicing and have not carried over this feature.
Please explain as this makes it impossible for us to do invoices efficiently and wastes an enormous amount of time. -

The old invoicing showed stock levels when you did the invoice, the new one does not which makes it useless to use. You need to not take away something that I assume alot of people use. Please fix
Thanks
