Xero Me - Timesheet automatically calculate overtime
It's great that Xero Me now allow employees to add their own start, finish and break times but all hours appear as ordinary hours. Xero should have a warning prompt flagging this as it's easy to miss overtime hours and pay them as the default ordinary hours, which then needs an unscheduled pay run to correct the underpayments (assuming you work this out for yourself!). Public holidays should also be flagged so we can adjust pay rates (if needed) for these days.

Employees should be able to select overtime when entering their timesheets - If you had a big payroll, you could definitely not use Xero as so much manual work needs to be done. It's almost easier to do manual timesheets rather than putting it through the app as you still need to separate the overtime hours manually.

I just add overtime hours as a thing in the payslip template part, I also have travel time in there and things like sick or parental leave- this then adds it to the dropdown list in xerome

Even if employees could choose to enter the hours as overtime or Saturday rates themselves like the can with entering just the total hours it should also be in the option for start finish times.
Of course payroll admin still be able to adjust or make changes but this would save so much time. -

Is there a way to set standard business hours so that when the employee puts in the hours worked, it automatically identifies overtime at time and half and double time?
EG - On Saturdays or after 8 hours it automatically goes to overtime \for first 3 hours then double time after. -

Xero Project should also allow the setting up of overtime hourly rate in addition to ordinary hourly rate. Otherwise, it gives an incorrect wages cost in the Project Financials reports.

Most of our team do overtime every day, to use the start and finish times, it is critical that the system puts the overtime automatically in the correct line on the timesheet.
