Invoicing - Remove 'Powered by Xero' in Footer of emails
Remove 'Powered by Xero' Advertisement on the footer invoice emails (only recently added)
Hi everyone, appreciate this topic has picked up momentum in the last couple of months since “Powered by Xero” was first introduced to our invoice emails.
Our product team have been working through the next iteration of the invoice email. They’ve reviewed feedback about this email from multiple sources and are planning some changes to address some of the concerns, in particular that the purpose of this feature is for marketing and advertising purposes. This feature was developed, designed and implemented will the sole intention of increasing trust with the invoice emails we generate inside the Xero platform. The data after delivering this has shown that it does just that, increasing engagement with your invoice emails and ultimately getting you, our customers, paid faster.
Therefore the “Powered by Xero” footer will remain in place, however we will be reducing its size, better integrating it into a redesigned email experience and removing the hyperlink to Xero.com.
This new email experience is focussed on uplifting our invoice experience to meet expectations from you and your customers to provide a professional, informative and modern experience. This new experience will be coming to New Invoicing first and then to our other invoicing tools like Reminders in the coming weeks.

They thought long and hard about this, they don’t just add it without weighing the pros and cons.
They won’t revert back, they don’t listen to these requests.
Assume this is permanent and plan accordingly.

Please remove 'Powered by Xero' Ad in the footer of the invoice emails, our client is not happy about providing free marketing when he still needs to pay a monthly fee to use the software.

Xero, Please provide an update on this.

Hijacking business emails for the purpose of promoting your own service without any opt out should not be happening.
If it was a trial or free product I could maybe understand but this is not the case.
This needs to be removed/remedied immediately.

When was this introduced, I pay for your service - can understand this on a free account - but not a subscription / professional service.
Remove it.

If this is not removed, and we do not see a clear path to removing the Xero email we will be leaving. Accounts payable systems frequently block the "messaging-service@post.xero.com" and it simply looks unprofessional. We pay for the highest tier and are now paying more for the same product with your logo. We left QuickBooks for this reason and Xero really needs to understand they do not want to end up like QuickBooks...

Please remove 'powered by Xero' from email and invoice templates or at least allow users to toggle this on and off easily.
This really shouldn't be enforced on something that is paid for - pretty poor form Xero!

Please remove Powered By Xero from all my email comms - Invoices quotes etc. Thank you

Xero uses cloudfront.net (owned by Amazon/AWS) to serve dynamic web content, they also use reCaptcha.net (owned by Google) for security and stripe.com to collect their direct debit each month
Ironically they even use uservoice.com to email updates about this thread, yet i don't see "Powered by AWS" or "Powered by Google" or "Powered by Stripe" or "Powered by Uservoice.com" on any of their correspondence, updates or website.
Furthermore, despite repeated requests, Xero wont tell me what client data is farmed from this new advertising logo and supplied to whom

I emailed Xero support to request for this to be removed and they asked me to give feedback here on Xero Product Ideas, following which they could then action my request. In their response, they said: "...this implementation is a transient state while we move to a V2 email experience that has a more subtle implementation of this concept."
I want to strongly suggest that even a subtle implementation of this concept goes too far. I would be disappointed to see anything like this become mandatory (or even the default setting) on paid tiers. It is unprofessional enough not to be able to send emails from your company domain, never mind having something else promoting Xero in the email body like a logo or some mandatory text.
I would like to vote for nothing other than the option to completely remove any reference to Xero in email communications and I expect many users would feel the same.
It is enough to push you to another accounting package, that allows you to present your company more professionally. Imagine if every Microsoft Word document you created, or email you sent from Outlook, said "Powered by Microsoft" in the footer and this couldn't even be removed. This is disappointing from Xero.

This is what I'd expect from a free invoicing software or Intuit. The reason I left Intuit was because of their in product advertising.
Please remove this. It makes my company look cheap. Back to manually sending invoices until it's removed.

Unbelievable for dearly paying service, that is constantly increasing prices. PLEASE REMOVE YOUR LIGO from our invoices, INSTANTLY!!

This is really weak, Xero! Maybe this would be acceptable for some sort of free tier, but you should not be putting your advertisements on my invoices.

Please remove this immediately. We are a software development company and I do not wish to have my clients question why I use a third party accounting company.

Xero - please remove your logo from my email communications ASAP - or I will switch to an alternative product.

I find this very absurd that Xero has done this. And this is breach of privacy too as we have numerous clients/suppliers that we don't want to tell them which software we are using. We don't want every client/supplier to know what we use for systems.
Rather than focusing on developing helpful features like: Inventory management, Prepayments from bills screen, better supplier payment screens etc. , Xero is wasting time on this. I am sure if product is good customers will come to Xero. There is no need for cheap marketing ideas like this. This will do more harm to Xero than good i think.

This is the kind of thing I'd expect to see on a free service being used as a trial, not one I have been paying to use for over 10 years (my price has more than doubled in that time too). The least Xero could do is make it an affiliate link and give us a free month if someone signs up, but there is no tracking in the URL they have put in the email. I have been thinking of moving supplier for a while now, this is the final straw.

Xero, I shouldn't have to publicly post feedback to have your advertising removed from our invoices. Please take it off.

I happened to cced me on an invoice that I realise this has been happening. I don't actually endorse or recommend Xero product. Joana Mendes
