Repeating Invoices - Use updated inventory Unit Prices on repeating invoice templates
When you update the inventory selling price of an item you expect that this is reflected when a repeated invoice is generated. This is not currently the case. The price is ONLY updated when you edit the repeated invoice. Please have an option box on the repeated invoice that allows inventory price updates on generation. Currently waste hours and hours and make mistakes every time an inventory item changes price. Logged support cases about this for years but trying here now. Huge time saver.

I must admit i am a little surprised this feature is missing. You really shoudl be able to 'push' and inventory item update in pricing for reoccurring orders. First real let down with Xero. Please get this into an update soon as seems like an absolute basic function that is missing.

You would have thought that this would already have been thought about as it is critical for any business to ensure they are invoicing customers correctly. Repeating invoices are suppose to make life easier, but if the latest inventory selling price doesn't feed through the wasted time and mistakes just add up!

Does anybody know if QuickBooks has this feature? With hundreds of repeating invoices we simply have to have this in place. If that means migrating to QuickBooks (after being with Xero for 10 or so years) then that may be our only option - this is now business critical

Just found out myself that repeating invoices need to be manually updated when an inventory price is changed. We've got hundreds that now need editing each year as our prices increase.. .

If inventory items don't sync price updates on repeating invoices, then what's the point of them? If anyone knows another invoicing software that would do this, please reply, as we'd consider moving system because this is a massive time waster, thanks

The ability to update pricing changes with one click on repeating billing.
As a company that has billing that is related to the rate of exchange, our pricing changes on a regular basis.
We have a large client base that have repeating/recurring billing that needs to change with the pricing changes, the Xero system currently does not update the prices on the repeating invoices if there are changes made to the inventory pricing, therefor we need to assign staff time and resources to manually updating each separate invoice, which is problematic.
On other accounting packages they have a notice that pops up: "These products or services are on repeating invoices, would you like to update the pricing on the repeating invoice"
You are able to select yes or no and it updates accordingly.
I believe Xero would benefit immensely with a feature like this as it will save time and user error.
