  2. Currently the PO numbering is editable by the user. Can we disable / lock the PO number field be editable by the user? As we have encountered a control issue that user edited the PO number and the PO number that have changed has gone missing from our PO list. Thus, we need this enhancement critically so that we can have a complete PO listiing.

When a business has multiple branches or divisions, it would be great for the system to recognise who (from which division or branch) is entering the Bill or Invoice or Journal, and would automatically assign the correct cost centre to the transaction based on that (with the ability to override allowed or not in the user setup). It would also be good to be able to only allow reconciliation/viewing of that branch or division bank account instead of all bank accounts.

  4. Improve Text Formatting - Invoicing

    • Ability to change all text to caps, lowercase or sentence case (like Microsoft word feature) to enable more consistent, professional invoicing in less time. For example when adding multiple billable expense lines.

    • Ability to sort invoice lines by the headers, i.e. description (alphabetically), by price or amount high-low etc.

  5. One of my clients has suggested that it would be useful to be able to see the contents of the purchase orders on Xero without having to open them to find items ordered. In the same way that a salary is hidden but pops up when a mouse is hovered over on the payroll employee tab, the information on a PO could pop up.

    Opening them all is very time consuming.

  6. Online Quote - Expect the quote be view directly even is a custom branding theme.

    Purpose: The reason we said "online quote", means no matter what the customer can view online. But now it's limited due to the organisation create their own theme which is not fair.

    Appreciate the feedback and interest through the idea here. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at this stage. Current focus is on new invoicing and improving the experience for our users as we edge closer to the retirement of classic invoicing.

    We'll continue to keep our eyes on all sales flow ideas in the forums here and will let you know if there's any updates to share on this idea.

    Hi everyone, while our team considered solutions in this space with other pieces of work planned there is no current development planned for adding a notes or description field within Projects at this time. 

    For now, as you may be aware you can add notes to the History and notes of the individual transactions within a project, or alternatively on the Contacts record. 

    We're continuing to watch this space and will share if there is any progress.

    Hi community, some time passed since our last update in the thread here we do want to return and share - while our product teams explored possibilities for how we might represent Purchase Orders in Projects research has confirmed that there is underlying work needed to the platform Purchase Orders are built on before we can achieve any good outcomes of your needs here.
    We have enthusiasm and a close eye remaining on the support for this, but want to be honest that this is not something that we’ll be able to focus our attentions on in the near future.
    Once we have completed work first needed in the Purchase Orders space we can reassess how to integrate purchase Orders into Projects and will update you all of steps forward, here.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting the ability to assign files to the project itself. While this isn't something we have planned right now we'll keep tracking the interest through the idea here. 


    To highlight, though not currently available on the Project directly, it's possible to attach files to the individual transactions within a project e.g a Bill, Invoice, Spend money or Expense. i

    Along with this, you may also find it useful to create folders within your Files library where you can collect all files related to a specific project for ease of reference. 

    Understand this isn't the ideal solution, but may help some for now 🙂
