Under classic invoicing I can share invoices across the Xero network between Xero entities from different countries (in my case, Australian company invoicing a USA company) Why can't this feature be available under the new invoice format (I don't see what eInvoicing actually has to do with it)

    First time I've seen Xero take a major step backwards (I now have to spend more time doing the same job... well done folks)

  2. we should be able to do a csv bulk upload for receiving payments on invoices. the filed highlighted in yellow should be in a csv file, other fields such as invoice number or ref can be added. we do bulk upload and the invoice automatically updates with the payments.

  3. GST Audit Report Page number selection to also appear at the top of the screen as well as the bottom of the screen. This would be beneficial to the user so they do not have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to select what page they wish to review/go to. saving time for the end-user.

  4. Thanks for adding the new "compare tracking categories" in the new Profit & Loss Report.

    However, even with this additional development the new version of Profit & Loss Report requires you to manually add each tracking category one by one. Having the feature of "select all" reinstated as the old version did would be really helpful.

    Having limited tracking categories to 200 isn’t helpful, previously Xero was able to search across an unlimited number of tracking categories, but only report on the active ones.

    I’m sure there are many users that have more than 200 tracking categories (not always active…

  6. In the upcoming new Fixed Assets layout/section, if you sort a heading (Asset name, asset number etc.) it only remains for that particular session, if you close out, it'll default back to sorting via the Purchase Date when you re-open.

    Proposing this remembers what the user selected.

    Also if you select "Items per page" it only displays that amount of items for that session, then defaults back to 10 after re-opening.

    Please make it remember the user's chosen setting.

  7. As a charity we would really like the ability to be able to have Gift Aid and reporting on Xero, otherwise we would have to get a 3rd party piece of software to run Gift Aid.
    It would be so great to be able to mark on a customers record that they allow us to claim gift aid on the monies they pay to us and then in turn for us to be able to run a report to submit to HMRC of how much Gift Aid we are able to claim from customers in others words extra income from…

  8. Bank Reconciliation - Having a Reconciled By column.
    It would be very helpful to have a column in the bank account transactions screen that shows who reconciled the transaction. I have a client who thinks they are helping by reconciling their own transactions only to get most of them wrong. If there was a column showing the reconciler then I would very quickly be able to ascertain the transactions i need to review by running a history and notes report for that period.

  9. Currently all reports can be Exported to PDF, Excel or Googlesheet. Please add an option to export to CSV. This file would not have report headings, just column headings.
    When exported data is to be imported into another system it is time wasting to have to remove the heading lines and convert the file to csv.
    Seeing that Xero requires all it's import files to be in csv, it's odd that this is not an option for the reporting side of things.

  10. Would be useful to be able to narrow column width, especially when decimals are removed and more months are required on 1 page. Similar to Excel, where we can change width and height of rows or columns.

  11. In the dcoding screen, if there's already a code selected then the user has to manually empty the existing code to be able to type another. This is just clunky - when the dropdown is enabled it should either clear the field or allow the user to start typing a new code.

  13. We need a way to flag a transaction, either a sales, bill or account transaction that can then be pulled into a report for review before finalising BAS's etc.

    Whether that be a spend money that you are awaiting a Tax Invoice for, a bill that is in dispute, or a sales that need follow up.

    Could it be in the Bank Reconciliation menu where you can then pull the "discuss" notes into a report and the query notes could be there?

  14. Find and Recode payments from imported statements to change the "Received as" feature to Prepayment or Overpayment.

    I have a lot of older statements to import (this particular payment provider does not offer a feed for importing automatically). These payments are nearly all prepayments, and now I have to manually reconcile them to Prepayments. Automation would be a real time saver!

For invoicing - if you copy an existing invoice (copy to draft invoice) - once all information is completed - when you then click "approve and email" it does not offer any credits or prepayments before sending. After you send you return to the invoice - it then shows "apply credit" - but this is too late! If you only click on "approve" then it will show the prepayment to allocate. But I believe you need it on both - approve and email should be included.

  16. When a custom P&L is created it does not update if there is any change in the chart of accounts. For example, if we move a nominal from the P&L to the BS it will still show in the P&L if the custom report was created before the move. This is a major flaw and when raised with Xero we are told to just re-do the custom reports, some of which take a long time to do.

  17. I really need to add notes to the Budget Manager fields to explain (as much to aid my own memory as anything) how I calculated the amounts in each line for each month. This will be helpful when the budget is interrogated at Board meetings and I can easily reference what was included in the expected income or expenditure figures for a month. Xero has this facility in other financial reports, but it is desperately needed in budget manager.

  18. Most often when I extract XERO finance reports I have to strip out all of the headings and totals in order to get to the raw transaction data for further pivot analysis and data refinement. Having a raw data dump (i.e., excel or csv format) as an option to the formatted files would save considerable time for users doing pivot analysis, multi period or year comparisons, adding calculations and additional columns, preparing charts, and just trying to summarize the data in a different way.

  19. It would be really useful if you could manually adjust depreciation on an asset by asset basis, where depreciation has been changed outside of the Xero product. This could be where depreciation has been run within the product for management accounts, but been adjusted by another accountant outside of the product when running the year-end. The manual adjustment would be great for aligning the submitted accounts with the accounts in Xero.
