  1. Currently this only shows over a 12 month period when in all cases I'd like to see how well each customer or supplier has performed against the same month last year.

    At worst could this not simply be a 15 month graph (as if it were 13 then the previous month/previous year would drop of when everything was in by the beginning of the following month?

    • at best could you select filters to compare even the past 3 years by month etc...

  2. Allow the contact's account number <ContactAccountNumber> to be included on Branding Theme invoices (and other documents).

    The <ContactAccountNumber> is allowed to be included on system default invoices.

  4. Ability to show customer credit limit on the landing page of a GROUP (In this instance Credit Client)

    Purpose - Users can easily see the credit limit along side the contact name and the headers "You Owe" and "They Owe" Providing a snap shot to avoid the need to click into each individual account to check their credit limit.

We have global sized clients who issue us with contracts that need to be set up as separate entities under the same business name. you would think that the unique reference number box would work in tandem with the primary business contact name. This is especially important when setting up repeating invoices. I currently put the business name eg: Boxspan National and add a sub heading eg: Boxspan National [Diamond Project] . Now we have been advised that we can no longer do that as their accounting software will not pull the invoice through to the correct business entity. If…

    Hi community, we'd like to confirm that enabling phone numbers to be stored against additional people within a contact record is not something we have plans to develop at this time. This may be a function we look to explore in the long-term so we're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. If there's any change we will let you know on on this idea.

  7. Ability to go into the contact/client and see all notes under history and notes also the notes that are made under an invoice for the client. So ALL notes are in one place and users don't need to run a report to check a note. The former Xero layout had this. Invoice notes showed up under history and notes for the client in the old Xero layout before July 2023.

  8. It would be useful to look at an activity statement to see how much a certain contact has been invoiced regardless of whether they have paid or not. At present, I can only see outstanding balances.

  9. I Also, when will we get the stop function in Xero? I've been asking Xero for 6 years. I know you can restrict invoices by credit limit but, customers could be well under their limit but overdue in paying. A stop function is critical to any accounting system.

  10. How many times have we received a payment from a customer and not known which invoices they have paid? Or followed up an outstanding invoice that they have listed as paid in their system?

    It would be great to have a button to request remittance advice from a customer for a particular deposit. We have a list of customers for many of our clients where we manually send these requests via email. It is time-consuming and inefficient, though it would be great to have the automation of sending the request straight out of Xero from the Bank Rec screen!

    Appreciate no direct feature for this at present, Grace and we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this here. In the meantime, perhaps including the request in the invoice Terms and Conditions could be a good indicator that this is something you request of your customers when sending the invoice or reminders?

    Hi everyone, while there isn't a report that you can report 'terms' atm, you could run the Aged Receivables Summary report that'll provide all the other detail you're asking here.

    From Columns in the report you'll see the option to include Credit Limit as well as many of the contact details such as Email and Phone. If this is a report you'd want to access frequently, save it as Custom and maybe even favourite the report so you can easily access it.

    When you mention wanting to include 'terms' it'd be good to get more detail of your expectations in this would this be the terms and conditions of the theme applied to invoices for that contact, or perhaps billing information that you may have saved in notes for the contact? Thanks

When adding a new contact while in the bank feeds screen, you can add a new contact name but cannot give it the gl acct number or enter the address etc. You have to go back to contacts pull up new contact and then enter all info. Please add a feature to add all the info at the moment you set up the new contact name.

  14. Sales Tax exempt form management in the U.S.A. Currently every year we have to manually ask and upload customers sales tax exempt certificates and update their tax status so we charge or don't charge sales tax. Would be nice to have a some sort of system where the customer is notified once a year and self uploads their tax exempt certificate which is linked to thier contact information. This would save alot of hours.

  15. Please could you add a Title field into the customers name - my invoices show with just the surname on which is very unprofessional.
    ie. Mr Smith on the invoice would look much nicer than just Smith !!! This must be a basic thing to do.?? Please consider this as urgent.

    Interesting idea around being able to mark suppliers as preferred, Catherine. It'll be good to get an understanding of the interest in this here.

    In terms of contracts, you can currently upload files to a contacts record which is where you could upload any contract, hire agreements, rates etc.

    Automated client statements - have the option to send out our practice statements on a regular basis i.e. weekly or fortnightly regardless of the days due or overdue!

    Hi everyone, apologies we've not provided an update here before now. Over the past year there's been a lot of development throughout Sales, more centralised around the new invoicing experience. With the upgraded technology new invoicing is built on we've been able to begin developing the send experience, with improvements to customise and send invoices, and help you get paid faster.

    Being able to automate the send of customer statements is high on our product teams radar, however we want to be transparent that this isn't planned in the short term. As we continue to develop and uplift throughout the Sales experience this is definitely an area the team will draw closer attention to, however with lots of different projects on the go we aren't able to bring focus to this right now.

  18. Have an area in the contact card to opt out of the remittance advice for that supplier. This will save the time in unticking suppliers that never want remittance advice every time a batch payment is made.

    1. Add a running total column for outstanding invoices/bills in contact activity

    2. An option to switch between the base currency and the billing currency (on the below screenshot). This will provide a view of the outstanding amount to be paid in the selected currency.

  19. When setting up a contact, it would be useful to be able to add a new tracking category directly in the contacts screen. If I forget to add a new tracking category to my existing list first and go to add a new contact then the tracking category isn't there. I then need to change menus in order to set up the tracking category and then go back and edit my contact to include it. I think it would be a good feature.
