  1. I would LOVE a link back to draft bills & invoices from the approved bill or invoice. When using email to bill and repeating invoices, after approval there is a link to add a new 'whatever'. But there is no single-click option to go straight to drafts to keep processing these. Instead you must click twice to purchases overview and then drafts.

    When processing a large queue of draft bills and invoices, this would be a huge time-saver for me, and I'm sure many others.

  2. Can the bank feed expiry date be shown on the dashboard or perhaps in the bank account screen rectangle for each account. It is a frustrating task to have to repeatedly contact clients to update this .... and worse they tend to blame Xero for the functionality rather than GDPR

  4. The HubSpot-Xero integration should pull the "deal name" on HubSpot into the "invoice reference" on Xero. The way the integration currently works means that when you generate invoices from HubSpot the invoice reference on Xero is blank, making it impossible to identify which deals they relate to.

    Thanks for the idea, Matt. Not something we have direct plans for expanding the Hubspot integration for just atm, but I've made sure to share with our team in this space and its something they'll consider as they continue to improve the Hubspot and Xero integration. 

    For the meantime, we'll get a sense of the wider interest in this here. 🙂

  5. When processing a single payment for multiple invoices from the same customer, why can't you simply go to the customer, select the invoices paid and process. This is what most other accounting systems do and it is much easier then the Xero batch deposit process which is clumsy and time consuming.

  6. department/tracking category for more than one group
    for example a horse stud has three departments 1. Farm. 2. Administration and the third being Horses. At the end of the payrun e.g Payroll Employee Summary Report, ideally need to show each department with the sub totals for each department Gross Tax Super and Net Payment with a YTD for the total of the departments

    Heya team, appreciate your feedback and sharing within Product Ideas, here. While a new version of this report has been released, we want to be open that there is no change to the employees that are shown. 'Inactive' employees will still be visible when selecting an employee when running this report.
    While it's not something we have plans for developing in the near future, we'll continue to watch the interest for this here and share if there's any change.

  10. We have one contact who is a customer and a supplier. When I go to contacts I can do the report of recent invoices (to them as customer) and also the report for recent bills. But they are both have the same headings - ÏNVOICES. Can you not change the heading of the supplier recent bills report to BILLS.

  11. Instalment Activity Statement - It would be good if you could add a template cover letter for quarterly instalment activity statements. I receive phone calls from client asking why they are required to lodge a BAS as the current AS cover letter is confusing and docent distinguish between the different statements.

  15. Have the FAr work correctly when changing the useful life of an Asset Class - it does not do so currently. This is based on the following research.....

    I have done the following in the Demo company (which has a Year End of the 31st March):

    • Posted an asset worth £6,300 on the 1st Jan 22 with a depn rate of 10%, resulting in a Depn charge to the P&L of £52.50 pcm
    • Posted an asset worth £1,969.99 on the 1st Apr 22 with a depn rate of 10%, resulting in a Depn charge to the P&L of £16.42 pcm

  17. automatically code items suitable for suspense accounts

    when there's a debit and credit by the same provider - suggest to move to 850 suspsense account - provide explanation. accountants understand this - and it reflects spending and returning items - or rebates - and if you do this 1000 times - for products that cost $1000 each - the tax man will correctly give you totals to pay - and gst rebates -
    if you incorrectly match to sales / expenses - then it could be way off.

  18. When returning to a previous screen in xero ensure that it includes all search / filter and sort options applied at the time you originally navigated away from that screen.

    When you need to look through many transactions from a search, going back and having to re-search every time is very time consuming.

  19. There should be an option to add the Tracking categories in the automatic fees from the Payment services such as Paypal, Stripe, etc. This is a small update but can save a lot of time in EOM processes so we do not need to do Find and Recode at the month-end for these transactions.

  20. In our business we make use of the bill feature to create a legal tax invoice on behalf of our suppliers and currently the Bills don't give me a legal tax invoice?

    Can we get a Bill template created that give us a legal tax invoice made out on behalf of the Supplier for the Supplier? Its called selfbilling and is a feature that is critical to our business as the Supplier dont always know what to invoice and we do this on their behalf and this has been legally agreed with the tax authorities.

    However currently the Bill template…
