Login - Ability to set a Password Expiry
Hi Community,
In relation to XERO security, I suggest all users should have a password expiry functionality where after a period (eg 6 months) it prompts all users to change their password.

Reconcile period - Tab from Start date to end date
Fix Tabbing issue when creating reconcile period. When creating a reconcile period I enter the first date of a Statement Date Range, hit tab and instead of going to the last date of the Statement Date Range where it should go, it weirdly tabs to the opening statement balance, forcing me to go back and click on the ending date box.

Supplier Quotes Section
It would be really useful to be able to put my supplier quotes on to Xero as some of my jobs have numerous quotes from different suppliers. It would make it easier to compare them and then generate our own quotes to our customers from these.

AU Payroll - Use multiple pay items for employees annual salary
Currently in XERO if you use more than one Ordinary Time Earnings Pay Item per employee the Annual Salary Calculation on the Payslip is incorrect. Using more than one is useful as there are some employees I like to apportion to 2 x areas. Example: It might be 1 day a week on Admin 4 days on Production. Whilst we can do this currently in XERO, as noted above the Annual Salary is incorrect. So - either - separate the Salary field from the Pay Item or change (fix) the way XERO calculates the Annual Salary. Note I am aware that I can use one Pay Item and then use timesheets for allocations. For my small team it is extra work for no gain.

Copying part - not all of sent invoice to my e-mail
Copying part of a sent invoice perhaps just invoice number and amount to my e-mail would avoid a problem I had.
My e-mails were hacked and a monthly rent invoice I had sent was copied the next month with amended bank details.
I no longer send copies to my e-mail although now I have to concentrate more so I know which ones I have sent.
This type of fraud has happened to someone else I know - we are more careful with our e-mail security now.2 votes -
Invoices - Mark invoice as Sent after payment is recorded
One of our customers requires the PDF invoice with zero due AFTER the payment has been applied. If I forget to mark "Sent" before applying payment, Xero will not allow this box to be checked, and I have to remove all payments, mark sent, then enter payments and credit applications again. Since we use the "sent" feature to cross check that we have submitted invoices, this is important. There should be no reason this is not editable after payments; and there are additional features that can't be edited after payments as well, that used to be editable in the old invoicing, like tracking categories. Please reintroduce this post-payment editability on invoice items that do not affect the accounting, just tracking.

Bank Reconciliation - Navigate to top of page when moving between page
When Reconciling a large bank feed It would be good if the page went back to the top so that we did not have to scroll up every time.
At the moment when you get to the bottom and page forward it stays at the bottom of that screen2 votesNot a direct solution to what you're asking here, Tony. However you may find it a useful shortcut to press the 'Home' button on your keyboard which should bump you from the bottom to the top of any screen 😊

Invoices - Filter and Download Specific Invoices in Customer Statement
I would like to submit a feature request for the Statement of Account (SOA) report. Currently, the SOA allows for downloading the entire account summary for a contact, but it lacks the ability to filter and download specific invoices based on types or any other granular filtering or customization.
For example, in my organization, clients sometimes use multiple revenue streams. Invoices are categorized by these revenue streams. There are instances where my clients only need the SOA for one particular revenue stream.
It would be incredibly helpful if the SOA report could include a filtering option where users can select invoices by their type or status before downloading them as a PDF. This would eliminate the need to manually sort through the entire SOA and improve overall efficiency when managing accounts with multiple revenue streams.
I believe this feature would significantly enhance the functionality of the SOA report and make it more customizable to suit businesses with diverse invoicing needs.
Hope to see this feature in a future update.

JAX - Import Supplier Bills
I would like to be able to drag and drop supplier invoices as PDFs into the JAX chat window as attachments.
JAX should allow me to include additional prompts before processing the invoice.
For example, how to handle different situations such as shipping and taxes listed in the supplier invoice.
It would also be great if JAX could support currency conversion.
For example:
- Please import these bills and update the supplier contact details.
- Assume the bills are tax exclusive.
- Assume that the amounts on the invoice are MXN pesos and convert these to USD assuming the following USD exchange rate.
Once I submit the prompt including attachments, the draft bills should be created for me and automatically attach the supplier invoice PDF to the draft bill.
This would be a fantastic timesaver!

1 voteAppreciate you separating out the different ideas you have for JAX on the site here, Mark. This has also been shared back with our team.
We'll begin to track the interest from the community in being able to use JAX to import supplier bills here.
In the meantime you may find the Upload feature in Bills handy for this sort of entry - however just to note it doesn't support currency conversion atm so will still require manually updating to reflect the correct currency.

JAX - Prompts for Bills to Pay
I would like to be able to use JAX prompts to search bills to pay or to ask general questions about previously paid bills.
For example:
- Show me all the bills paid to supplier X before/after invoice date [insert date]
- Show me all the bills for this amount [insert amount]
- Find all the bills that were created with Tax Inclusive (or Tax Exclusive or No Tax).
- Start a new bill for supplier [insert supplier name] with the following item codes [insert list of item codes]
Currently, JAX doesn't seem to have any knowledge about bills.
It also seems to assume that whenever I use the word "invoice", I'm talking about customer invoices, not supplier invoices.
JAX needs to be able to differentiate between the two contexts.

Invoice Date items & repeat invoice
What Xero management fail to appreciate that having this feature they will obtain a substantial number of customers who need this feature and many more that are using QuickBooks. If anyone know of an alternative please share on this channel. I'm exploring Thriday to make this feature available soon.

Balance Sheet Movement in Custom Reports
Hey - when making a custom report it would be really useful to be able to show the movement in balance sheet codes. For example, when preparing our month end summary we can't bring in the capitalised wages cost automatically because it brings in the cumulative balance, rather than the balance for the period. To be honest it's crazy to me that this doesn't exist, but would be great if it could!

"Common Expenses" - fix product flaw.
In Xero app, as follows:
-Purchases
- +
-Add receipt
-Tap:Categorise to an acct
-acct list pops up with heading "Common expenses". 2 accts listed which I rarely use.
PLEASE FIX : there is no way to edit the list of accts under the heading at the top "common expenses". See my screen shot2 votes -
Contact - Font color
If we cannot put a warning against the bad payers, surely it cannot be that hard to be able to change the customers business names into another color (Red) So when you search or create a new invoice, alarm bells will ring and hopefully avoid more loss
3 votesHi Todd, have you seen credit limits? These will allow you to set a limit to how much spending a customer can make with your business. When they reach that limit you can also choose whether to restrict invoicing for that customer. This may help with the scenario you're noting here.

User Roles - Purchase order only access
We wish to let some of our users have access to purchase orders, raising & viewing etc.
Currently if we give them access to purchase orders it also lets them see supplier balances and also click into the supplier and therefore into the accounts i.e invoices etc.
We would like our staff to just see the purchase orders and raise purchase orders but not have access to anything else.

Use of AI to upload invoices in the same manner as bill uploads
Having the ability to upload invoices in the same manner as the recently introduced bill upload would be great addition for those users who run industry POS software that generates sales their invoices and stock and ordering management.

Validity period for Tracking Category
We would like the possibility to assign a validity period to each new "Tracking Category" entry.
This would mean that you don't have to see all options every time the Tracking Category drop down list is selected e.g. when entering an invoice.
It would also help to limit the Tracking Category options available to employees, for example, when they enter their expenses.
