    Thanks for your feedback on the thread. Though not useful for all, we did bring attention to the reports that could help some people in the forums here. 

    We'll continue to consider this and other ideas for customer statements as the platform evolves. 

    Again not a full resolve but another option that could be handy for some is the inclusion of the Outstanding bills link when sending individual invoices to your customers. Through this, persons of a contact will be able to view and get detail of the invoices they have outstanding with you at any given time. 

  3. Include the option to add an attachment to a sales invoice note.

    Would be helpful for credit control purposes.

  4. It would be good for the lower scroll bar to display when a screen is minimised (in contacts). Currently, if you minimise the screen (as I do when I am comparing entries in another external on-line tab, for example, with my HMRC account, or my on-line bank account) you can only see the left of the minimised screen. The information does not compact into a full but smaller screen, neither is there a scroll button to scroll the information to the right.   5. We noticed some forms use Edit vs. Revise, and Save vs. Update, and other different wording for the same outcome. It might be helpful to standardize the wording in the Options menu across the forms. A standardized options menu for the common options to save, edit, print, send, delete, etc, might help users learn the program faster and increase efficiency of use, overall. It would for us. What are your thoughts?

  6. It would be great if the Contact Name placeholders could populate the name of the individual person receiving the email rather than just the primary person for a contact.

    ex. I have a contact name for a child with the primary person being Parent 1 and additional person being Parent 2. Would love if the Contact Name placeholders could address the email to each Parent 1 and Parent 2 independently instead of just addressing Parent 1 in both emails.

Bank Transfers - they are great and easy - but it would be awesome if we could just improve them in the following ways - some of these suggestions incorporates other suggestions - but thinking if you are working on improving this functionality - it would be great to do it all at once. I own several different businesses that are set up as separate organizations within xero, but they are all in the same industry and there is quite a bit of crossover of contacts between the businesses. As I understand it currently, each business will have its own unique address book, so if I update John Smith's phone number in Company A, it will not update in Company B. This makes no sense to me. There should be a universal contact book where we can select whether or not we want a company to use that universal set of contacts.

    We would like to request that the feature or the option to charge interest on customers for overdue accounts be developed as most other accounting packages has this feature and it becomes time consuming when this has to be calculated and brought in as additional invoices when there are numerous accounts that this needs to be done on.

  11. In classic invoicing we can populate the fields in any order we like. My usual route is client > date > tracking as we use the tracking code in both the reference and the description so a quick copy and paste saves me a lot of keystrokes. New invoicing forces you to populate fields in order and I cannot set the tracking code until the description / amount et al are filled.

    Please can the ability to populate in any order as exists in classic invoicing be brought across to the new.

  12. Allow charities to add an option for customers to make a voluntary donation when paying their invoice.

    When making a payment through the pay now link, they would be able to add an additional amount as a donation, if they choose to.

  13. One of the issues we have with Xero Payroll is there is no Anniversary Date for Sick leave. Our company changed hands in Apr 2020. As the new owners did not bring the Sick balances over, our sick leave anniversary became 6mths after change of ownership. That means we have to manually adjust the sick leave balances at 6mths after their Start anniversary rolls around (as service length is still recognised) for our 80 odd staff and then again on the first of October.
    We also have a annual Shutdown for Christmas, when staff have not been with the company…

  15. In ‘Bills Awaiting Payment’ it would be useful if you could assign (or at contact level) a payment method. Specifically so that anything due to be taken by DD isn’t inadvertently paid on a payment run.

  16. While the auto tax feature is nice, there's certainly limitations, which makes using it complicated. When auto tax is activated, the repeating invoices that move to draft etc should have the auto tax feature already featured. Shouldn't have to change each invoice from manual tax to auto tax.

    This is especially tedious when subscription-based clients are using the repeating invoice feature. Hundreds of invoices are being put to drafts for some clients.

    Thanks for all sharing and supporting how bulk reconciling transactions and suggestions that have been matched to statement lines in your bank would help your business.

    It's great to see the trust you've built in Xero's capabilities to match and help you save time from manually finding and creating transactions to reconcile your bank.

    Along with building on the foundations of our platforms, the teams efforts at present have been on improving the ability to create suggested transactions for more statement lines in your org - With a lot of this being backend logics there's not a heap you'll see from the front side of things but Xero's reconcile engine is getting stronger and overtime you should find even less need to create transactions in your org, yourself.

    With this work underway there is no development for being able to reconcile transactions that have the 'OK' presented option atm,…

  18. Since we ultimately want to see how much each employee is spending and since employees must be set up as a contact - We should be able to link the employees User Id to their contact. This way all the expenses submitted will show up as spend money transactions under the contact for each employee.

    Obviously right now the employee could choose themselves as the contact when they submit the expense report but more often than not, they will not.

    Having the contact linked to the user id will be particularly helpful for reconciling credit cards since the contact info…
