Donation receipts
As a charity funded entirely by donation we receive the majority of funds via online bank receipts. Because the bank receipt is standard, I currently manually create a receipt for our donors in word which I can attach to the bank receipt transaction and email to the donor. This is very time-consuming and I think it would be a very easy fix to allow customisation as with invoices

Reports - Option for All time / All dates to view all transactions
We need to be able to select "All Dates" on a report. ex. I want to see a report for a certain account from the start of my business to the current date. now I need to select beginning date and then todays date and the update.
6 votesThanks for sharing your idea with us here, Doug. Is there a specific report you'd find this helpful for? Maybe the Account Transactions report?

E-invoice - New e-invoice notification
e-invoicing notification
It would be great if we could get some kind of notification when an e-invoice was received into draft. Without going into our process, not knowing when a e-invoice was received will cause delays in processing as well as paying it.

AU Payroll - Option to 'Approve & Next' employee
In Payroll --> Timesheet --> entering hours for employees, there is no option to 'Approve & Next' employee, which would make entering hours easier. It would mean one doesn't have to keep going back to the main Timesheet menu when they are working through a roster of staff.

AU Payroll - Allow to change settings for Decimal places for pay items.
pay rates rounding by 4 decimal points causing an underpayment of wages. EG: Base rate is 25.65 x 1.5 = 38.475000 but the award rate is actually 38.48. Need a solution for this ASAP.

New invoicing - Emailing Invoice where invoice date in locked period
Do NOT display an error message and update the history and notes.
Sending Receipt to Client49 votesAppreciate the feedback and including a screenshot of the notifications you're getting on the invoice, Andrew. Just to make sure I fully understand your idea here - Are you saying that rather than seeing the pop up you'd like to have these added as history events to the invoice?

UK Payroll - Leave Transactions report
A report that provides details of employees leave to be able to see the leave accruals and leave taken for the pay period.
This would help as an audit trail and when preparing a salary budget or during a salary review.54 votes -
Invoicing - Update contact with email used when sending
Under the old invoicing, when an invoice was emailed to a client for the first time, the email address used for that first invoice automatically populated the Contact card's email address at the time the invoice was sent.
This meant that if the invoice was unpaid, the reminder would be able to go to the same person who received the invoice.
However the new invoicing doesn't automatically populate the Contact's email address.
This means an extra step is needed to ensure the Contact card is updated.
If this step isn't taken, then the automated reminders don't go out.
Automation is…4 votesHi Jo, interesting one here as some users would like the contact to be update but also others that wouldn't. It'll be good to get a sense of users that would like to see the contact record updated with the email used when sending from your idea here.
No plans to change this behaviour at present but we'll share if there's any news.

New invoicing - Make manual tax adjustment to total invoice amount
Retain the This Make manual tax adjustments from the invoice subtotal in New Invoicing. This is a feature that I use as I have to import sales figures from an external program and the VAT figure is different by a small amount But I don't want to have to alter each line on the invoice.
33 votesCan see what you're meaning here, John. I've made a slight adjustment to the title of your idea that I think might help others identify with. We'll start to feel the interest out here and let you know if there's any change planned.

Bills - Add 'Upload bills' to Dashboard.
Add the 'Upload bills' feature as a widget on the Dashboard, for convenience.
At present you have to navigate to 'Bills to pay', then from the 'New bill' dropdown, select 'Upload bills'. It's a great time saving feature, but seems tucked away, and would be great if right from the dashboard I could just drop bills, and invoices, ready to process later.8 votes -
Movable popup windows
The pop up boxes, creating a new item for example, should be able to be moved so that the underlying page can be seen. This is standard on most of the software that I use so it should be so on Xero.
3 votesThanks for your feedback, Alan. I want to be upfront that this wouldn't likely be implemented across all areas of Xero at once. Is there a specific feature (such as invoices) that you use most and would find this most beneficial to you? Thanks

Invoice Reminder - Templates to apply to specific customers
Invoice reminders are currently "all or nothing". I dont want to chase my good clients with automated messages from Xero becuse it upsets them but I do want some of my clients to have auto reminders about invoices about to become due and invoices overdue, those who generally are bad payers. In the same way we have email and invoice templates can we have invoice reminder templates and when we raise an invoice be prompted to apply a reminder template (or not). Or can the template for reminders be part of the customer financial details, in the way we can…

Invoicing - Show attachment option at the top of the page
The button to view attachments was at the top of the page in classic invoicing but is at the bottom in new invoicing. Our sales transactions are imported from our point of sales software via API. Every sales invoice has an attachment and we now have to pointlessly scroll down to the bottom of every invoice before we can view the underlying report. Please put the attachment button back in an accessible place!

New invoicing | Payment - Ability to set a default account
Please have a default bank account in the add payment function. Have to manually enter the number or search for the bank account through your whole chart of accounts. Old invoicing had bank accounts automatically in this box.
6 votesThanks for your feedback, Jacqueline. We don't have immediate plans for being able to set a default bank account for payment on an invoice, but we'll start to track this here and I'll share if there's any plans made.

Bank Rules - Option for prepayments
There are often periodic top up payments for accounts (e.g. Tolls) and a periodic statement provided after the fact.
It would be useful to be able to set up a bank rule to apply these and reconcile the prepayments as the statements come in.

Reporting - Percentages with decimals when expenses shown without
Xero allows us to choose whether or not we show decimals in an Income Statement. We believe showing 2-decimal places on revenue and expenses to be unnecessary, but feel it is VERY important to show 2-decimals on the % of revenue. It is better to show .04% than .00% and .05% than 1%. We would like to see Xero separate the option of decimals between numbers verses percentages so our clients can have a clear grasp on their performance.
