  1. Payment Summaries in STP - Copies of prior years.

    • It would be helpful if we could retrieve copies or make reprints of prior year payments. This is particular helpful where a new client comes on board, and you will not have history on files.

    HI team, appreciate not directly within the Customer statement at present and being open we don't have immediate change planned for adding this to the customer statement. However, for the time being you could look to run the Customer Invoice Activity report which has a few more options for the columns and detail shown. 

    Once you've set up as you like you could save as Custom to make this readily available in your org and export to share externally with a customer/client. 

  6. When a credit note is approved, the next page that pops up is the Allocate Credit Balance screen. This screen does not state who the customer/supplier is, and when creating multiple credits, it can be hard to recall who each one is to. It would be great to have the Allocate Credit Balance screen displaying the contact of the credit (the reference would also be great, but I have already voted for that one separately).

    With the new invoicing re-vamp this would be a great opportunity to increase the information on the Allocate Credit Balance screen too.

    Thanks for sharing and supporting the idea here, Community. We understand the needs and desire to set a default mileage rate for Xero expenses, however want to be upfront that this is not something we have plans for in the short term.

    Our product team are staying close to the feedback, and will continue to review this idea, so if there's any changes planned we'll update you of this, here.

  8. There should be a generate receipt option without having to create invoice first. This receipt should continue running numbers as invoiced.

  9. When importing bank statements, it would be very useful if we could select (already in the csv perhaps) whether the payment is to be a Direct Payment, or rather a Prepayment.

    We receive almost exclusively prepayments, and I find that when I import the statement, that I cannot select that the income lines should be treated as Prepayment.

    Thanks for your feedback as well as sharing screenshots to show the differences and what would help you when using new invoicing.

    Taking a look across these, the first around using a draft invoice as a template with only text in the description - this is currently possible, but may depend on how you are entering the information in your invoices. I'd recommend having a read of my update on this idea and joining if you'd like to receive updates.

  13. Ability to obtain a report on the actual costings on each timesheet category. Currently only able to report on the hours paid. Would be helpful to find out costing on each category. Presently have to manually calculate by multiplying hourly rate charge and hours (plus super).

  14. We charge our consultants at a different cost rate per customer project and pay them a different cost rate per engagement. This is negotiated with them at the start of the gig and applies only to that Project.

    I want to set a different staff rate per project per staff member.

  16. Within the find and recode facility I would like the ability to change the amount posted. This can be particularly useful for repeating journals. For example, there could be a monthly release of a rent prepayment, where a rent review has been backdated several months and therefore the charge released needs adjusting historically. As it stands currently, each individual posting needs editing, rather than (say) being able to change 9 month's postings in one entry.

    Thanks for the detail in your idea here, Kevin. We don't have any plans to enable the changing of amount in Find & recode in the near term. We'll get a gauge a sense of the demand for this from community in your idea here.

  17. The ability for an employee to be able to enter the number of kilometres travelled each day. This number being able to filter through to the pay run so the employer can pay an allowance of cents per kilometre.

    Hi everyone, leading on from my last update we have now released improvements to eInvoicing for those in the UK! With the latest change you'll now find we've made it easier for you to opt-in to receive your Xero subscription bill via eInvoicing. You can now do this from your online invoice (My Bills page) instead of through the Billing contact page. Helping save you time and reduce manual data entry every month.😁
    We understand there are other regions that'd still like to see this functionality developed and we'll shift back to submitted and share when there is news of moving this further afield.
    We also wanted to address the recent comment of data sharing - We'd like to confirm that Xero do not share data with Peppol.com. We use the Peppol network and the subscription invoices are sent using our wholly owned provider, Tickstar.

  19. When adding bills in the app, I find myself searching for the same category over and over. On the desktop, a likely or previous category comes up automatically. That would be great in the app, too.

    Failing that, it would be good if the list of categories contained frequently used categories first. I doubt anyone scrolls alphabetically, so it seems a useless feature to have.

  20. A CSV/Excel file with headers Employee, Gross, Net, NI, giving essentially the same data as the Payroll Activity Details report, for a payrun, but in column format with one line per employee for ease of reference.

    We have more than 30 employees and the Payroll Activity Details report is very long and cumbersome to reference.
